Actually, it sounds worse. In denying a Ukrainian combat strike, the Russian Navy is telling the world, “Our crews are poorly trained at the must fundamental aspects of safe ordnance handling and stowage that occasionally we blow up our own warships.”
They should really stick to the missile strike.

There are tons of Israelis who made aliyah from both Ukraine and Russia.
Both groups integrated well, are good Israeli citizens, good soldiers, smart, and productive. Both were essential in helping Israel free itself from stupidly-self-imposed socialism. Their politics would fit right here on the same parts of Freerepublic.
So I don’t see this as much of a cultural or racial issue than you apparently do. I see Ukraine is horribly corrupt but on the right path to being another Poland (and a conservative bastion in the EU).
Russia has never experienced freedom or democracy or honest capitalism, ever, in its history. It’s not on any great path except self annihilation. It will eventually be invaded by China and made into a satellite state.
