The New York Police Department said Wednesday that officers have arrested Frank James, the suspect in the subway shooting in Brooklyn in which 10 people were shot.
James, 62, remained at large for more than a day as authorities pursued a number of leads – following his attack Tuesday morning in a Manhattan-bound subway car that was pulling into a Brooklyn station.
Nineteen others were injured in the morning rush hour attack. Ultimately, James' gun, a 9mm semiautomatic Glock jammed in the middle of his rampage, preventing further bloodshed.
The suspect was reportedly taken into custody by patrol officers in the East Village of Manhattan following some type of stabbing incident Wednesday. The suspect allegedly did not resist arrest.
The police reportedly received a Crime Stoppers tip from an individual claiming to have seen James at a McDonald's on East 6th Street and First Avenue on Wednesday morning. The cops eventually caught up to James few blocks over on St. Mark's Place.
A press conference with the NYPD is expected shortly.
Prior to the Wednesday attack, James posted a number of rambling YouTube videos in which he railed against the city's mental health services, and spoke of the coming race war.

James’ gun, a 9mm semiautomatic Glock jammed in the middle of his rampage

Not possible, all the Glock fanboys tell me Glocks never jam.
P
Yes, I’ve heard the same. Lol. I suppose if he didn’t keep the firearm cleaned and lubricated, and/or used cheap, crappy ammo, that may have contributed to it’s jamming. Don’t know, just guessing based on normal reasons for a quality semi-auto to jam. Maybe we can ask Mr. James, gunfighter extraordinaire?
Can’t limp wristing a semi auto cause it to jam?
Maybe he ended up taking his orders to cause chaos via gun but didn’t want to actually kill anyone. Its so hard for me to believe anything reported on by the usual outlets, on its face.
I thought he was 5’5”. He was taller than the cops to had him in possession.
I remember his brother, Jesse...
A true “jam” is a stoppage that requires gunsmithing to clear...
More likely a shooter-induced malfunction such as a magazine dislodged or failed to seat, failure to feed or extract, or a double feed...All usually due to shooter error in handling...
Apparently our subject is incompetent with firearms, and we can be grateful for small favors or the butcher’s bill could have been much greater...
That was laying down...............
