“There is no chance Russia is going to tolerate a heavily-armed Finland in NATO. Nor should it.”

Russia and Putin are just going to have to suck eggs on this one. First, Russia is in no position to go to war against a better trained, better equipped, and far more motivated Finland. Second, there is no second. Russia cannot take on Finland.

“We wouldn’t tolerate Mexico being heavily-armed and aligned with either Russia or China.”

We’re not doing anything that would cause Mexico to seek protection from us so this comparison is not even remotely valid.

You are so profoundly incorrect on this one, there's no remedy. If the U.S. would hire me to get intelligence on Mexico's relationship with China, we would see. However, they are depending upon incompetents to provide intel, or, they're in on it.

Russia can and will incinerate Finland with H-bimbos. What’s your plan after that?

Finland is not now, nor has ever, shown the desire to threaten or invade Russia...

Mexico, on the other hand, has been blatantly invading the United States for the past 20-years and stealing our resources...
While the wetbacks do not have any rockets or nukes on our southern border, they have sucessfully placed 45-to-50 million invaders into the USA, and are soon to add anothe 20-million or so to that total...

All without a significant action from the indolently blissful U.S. citizens...
How did that go for the Romans???

Russia can take on Findland. It can’t occupy them and it could not do it by caring about civilian casualties.

I agree. If we were to invade Canada unprovoked, and to indiscriminately lay waste to the country, it would be perfectly understandable if Mexico suddenly decided to arm up and join an alliance that they thought could protect them. In fact, in such a situation it would be foolish to just sit there hoping that you don’t become the next target.

Mexico would certainly not want problems with the US. A while ago I read that a poll of Mexicans found 40% of Mexicans would like to come to the US. So to maintain stability we and Mexico need to be nice to each other. A year after Katrina I was traveling the Gulf Coast from Florida to New Orleans, staying at cheap camping parks along the way. In Alabama I spoke with a Mexican who was working there painting newly constructed (post hurricane redevelopment) houses for an Atlanta contractor. He was being paid a dollar below minimum wage. I asked him if he could get paid that much in Mexico, which country he would prefer to livee in? He said he would rather be in Mexico with his family. I then asked what he liked about the US. He said, “Here the police are honest.” I think he identified a very real problem. We really need to do more to help Mexico and countries further south deal with their criminal problems, to reduce border jumping.
