It is difficult to remain objective over the Florida education fracas. So much of the episode fires up the amygdala. The innocence of children. The rights of parents. The sovereignty of individual identity. The never-ending scandal of humans and sex. To feign "neutrality" in this conflict is a sort of moral suicide. If none of this matters, what possibly could?
As someone who taught school in progressive enclaves for 14 years, I can attest that there are many good people who oppose this law for fear that it will diminish the humanity of loved ones and reverse the tide of social progress. Although I do not believe that this law will have that effect, I respect the sincerity of those who do. Nonetheless, it remains urgent to speak truth plainly and oppose the ever-intensifying spread of radical social theory being taught to ever-younger students.
Instances of ideological excess in American classrooms are well chronicled and widespread. We have seen enough to know that the time to act has long since passed. The Florida anti-grooming law is a necessary tool to blunt this advance, even though it seems conspicuously tame upon closer inspection. Its most controversial aspect, from which the clever but disingenuous "don't say gay" moniker was derived, would have been uncontroversial in any other era: "Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."

I can't get past that. Just seems like blathering.
I am reminded of what causes cockroach and rat infestations.
bad lighting, sloppy housekeeping, anything to do with who uses which bathroom and the ever offended LGBTQ sensibilities.
funny how the left can package a perversion with a new label and the zombie pukes will follow without ever knowing what the truth is because they cant get passed the hate.
Like most “authors” in today’s world, it is a necessity for them to appear sensitive to bother sides of the argument.

Good? Really?
“and reverse the tide of social progress.”
I wouldn’t mind seeing that in the least.

There is no sympathy for groomers of children for sex. There is nothing nice about them. There is nothing but hatred and violence I want to do to them.
Public education, and education in general, has lost it’s way. It’s now not so much about education (Math, Science, English, History, etc.) as it is about indoctrination (destruction of America’s unique culture). The USA spends more $ per pupil than any other nation on earth and yet we are falling further and further behind the nations we compete with. The big question is, “Is this by design, incompetence, or a combination of the two?”
Say what you want, but they are very skilled at controlling the language of the debate. Don't be surprised if, in the not too distance future, the use of words like "groomer" and "pedophile" are denounced as "hate speech."
“I can attest that there are many good people who oppose this law for fear that it will diminish the humanity of loved ones”. I am with you. I almost quit reading right there. How does not allowing a teacher to talk about transgendering and homosexuality with a 5 year old in the classroom diminish the humanity of someone’s loved one? That’s one of the dumbest statements by an writer I’ve seen regarding the new Florida law. I just want to scream...LEAVE OUR KIDS ALONE!!
To me, one of the main aspects of evil is that people who have power over those who are defenseless use that power for their own benefit, usually to the detriment and harm of the weak. That is precisely what the left is doing here.
Even worse, they try to justify their evil by saying they are helping these young people. The guy writing the article tries to pass these people off as good and honest. No . . . I am afraid not. They are so evil and immoral they deserve to be strung up on the nearest tree and left to rot. . . unspeakable evil against defenseless young people.
