Russia is bombing the heck out of Ukraine, despite the media coverage, it’s not looking good for Ukraine.

If you actually believe that then you have to also believe that you don't really know anything about anything. You don't know who won the Superbowl, you don't know who a guy named Donald Trump is, because maybe he never was the President and you just believed the news that said he was.
And really you don't know if the 9/11 attack ever happened, of if the stories from people who claim to be victims of crimes are actually true or not. So you really can't comment on anything, since you don't know anything, including what your own kids are doing if you have any.
I suspect you actually know quite a bit, but are just repeating a talking point. Why is that?
Thanks for identifying yourself as a Russian propagandist. That phrase is right off the Russian propaganda talking points, and demonstrably false.
It is true that about 14,000 people have died in the conflict started by the Russian supported and aligned militias in the Donbass. But most of them have been the combatants on both sides, and about half of the 14,000 were Ukrainians fighting against the separatists or the Russian army.
When shelling happens it goes both ways. It usually starts from the Russian side, and then the Ukrainians respond. You can look at the OSCE reports to see the daily tracking of shells and which side they came from.
Of course at this point the Russians invading Ukraine have mercilessly shelled civilians, even their Russian speaking brothers and sisters. Somehow for Russians killing tens of thousands of people equates to "protecting" them.
I guess that is why the Russians have made sure not to damage anything or kill anyone in Mariupol, because it is full of ethnic Russians.
How does that fit in your "no-brainer" logic?

Considering the lack of media honesty, I’ll wait until Mariupol is fully liberated to find out what was going on there.

Russians rarely throw anything away. You save the good stuff for more capable opponents. For random H&I against poorly-defended targets, anything with a booster and a warhead will suffice.
1) Zelansky consripted the entire population of Ukraine to fight against Russian troops. This makes them all non-civilians. It was a calculated move to increase civilian casualties for the good of the narrative
2) Train stations are conventional military targets usually with associated military presence.
3) This war will continue as long as Obama wants it too. (Z can’t negotiate anything because he can’t turn off the sanctions)
4) Closer to mid-terms the Dems will let the killing stop. Because by then they will realize that their plan to encourage and extend the war until Putin is deposed will not work. So they will pivot to getting a cease-fire in place around September so Biden and the Dems can be hailed as peacemakers in time for the mid-terms.
Obama has nothing to do with it.

Gee, I wonder what Russian office you are working for. Other than Russians who thinks Mariupol needs liberating? It was a perfectly peaceful city until the Russians invaded Ukraine.
