price controls = increased demand and decreased supply = shortages + hoarding + waiting lines + increased inefficiency + rationing = economic chaos = decreased production = decreased supply = even more shortages = increased misery & suffering

He said he worked in a grocery store as a teenager during Nixon’s price control mandates.
The manager told him to re-name everything from the price control list to things not on the price control list - so a “t-bone steak” became a “rump roast” to avoid the controls.

Price controls inevitably lead to rationing. Get used to standing in line for your weekly ration of gasoline and soon food lines at the grocery store just like in Venezuela. If I hear one complaint from the Trump loathers, I will simply say well you voted for this and you should be happy that the SOB Trump isn’t POTUS so you could have this mess.
