Is Ukraine Really Any More Corrupt than We Are?
American Thinker.com ^ | April 7, 2022 | Jerry Powlass

Among the talking heads discussing Ukraine, more than a few have said things like "Ukraine is very corrupt. We don't need to get into that fight" and "We don't have a dog in that fight. The corruption in Ukraine is massive."

But how corrupt are we? I don't know much about corruption in Ukraine, but corruption in the United States is a glaring problem that just about every citizen who is paying attention would acknowledge. Are we any better than Ukraine? Maybe worse?

It is the nature of corruption in a culture that only a fraction — often a small fraction — of the people are corrupt. Indeed, if a certain behavior is seen commonly among the people of a culture, it will not be considered corruption. So if context is taken into account, it would be unfair to call that culture corrupt.

I contend that the average G.I. Ivan fighting in the rubble in the streets of his own country is probably not corrupt. I would further contend that the elderly men who did not run for the Polish border, but rather picked up a rifle and joined Ivan in the bunker are not corrupt, either. In fact, the men in the bunker are pretty brave and straight-up guys who have justly won the hearts of most of the rest of the world.

So let's look at corruption over here. We have a man in the White House who probably didn't win a fair and honest election to get there. It is beginning to look as though he may have been bought by the Chi-Coms. He may also have been bought by some corrupt big shots in Ukraine. His son's laptop is telling tales.

I don't know if Ukraine is corrupt or not, but something is definitely wrong with Putin. He used to be very reasonable. Anyway what the Russians are doing wants to make me cry.

That’s why it’s important to get your news from a variety of sources so you can see the big picture instead of relying on the “mainstream media.” What Putin is doing isn’t a surprise. He’s been telegraphing his intentions since 2007 if the West (mainly America) persisted in expanding NATO. He’s merely making good on his threat.

So morals are only relative?

Prior to that, Putin wanted to join NATO. He retracted when he figured out he wouldn’t be able to push them around.

He's still a creep and a thug. The russian people deserve better. The Ukrainian government is corrupt. The Ukrainians deserve better.

Still: A) It's not our fight. B) buttSchwab and his globalist acolytes in our country pose a greater threat to Freedom than does the Moscow mafia.

Where wrong with Putin that NATO is putting missiles on his border. I hope our president would not allow Russian missiles on our border.

Ukraine was doing OK until the Obama/Soros/DS gang of corrupt thugs showed up and took over in 2010. No longer are we “a shining city on a hill”. We are now exporting our “swirling in the toilet bowl” status around the world.

Sure. As long as you kept a low profile and stayed out of his way. He is the definition of a Mafia crime boss. A stone cold killer.

Are you saying that idiot Biden is your president? He is not my president, and will never be. This is how I feel about him.

It’s time to consider that the new evil empire is the USA.

This nation is highly corrupt. Far more corrupt than Ukraine. This should come as surprise to exactly no one. With that being said it is still the best nation on earth.

What Putin will do this summer worries me most. Right now, he is preparing for a summer offensive. People who don’t have equipment ready, fuel in tanks, and fortitude to advance, will be dealt with. There will be no mercy for Ukrainians now, and no care about what the world thinks. He cannot afford this loss, he cannot allow his nation to be embarrassed again. War crimes are not discovered or discussed much by the victors, because they write history and leave out the nasty parts about themselves.

Biden hasn’t positioned himself to take advantage of the opportunity. Probably because he is compromised by the information on the laptop lost in Moscow by Hunter. His own proponents, like Cher, must now be forced to see his failure and the human tragedy of an avoidable war. Democrats, having no conscience about there actions, will move on to the next ‘journalist’ supplied story, Putin will fade from the headlines, until he invades the next country.

Election fraud has consequences. There is far more corruption than people can imagine in government, both parties, and all intelligence services.

Biden, just like the Clintons before him, cannot be bought. They aren't honest enough to stay loyal with a one time payment, thus they are only rented. If you pay enough you might get a one year lease, but a $200 whore isn't there "until death do you part".

NATO expanded because of Putin’s actions. Blame Putin.

Ukraine government is equally as corrupt as American government. Actually, they’re the same. Ukraine is an annex of the USA deep state.
