Oil Co ceo’s: “Tell it to branDUHn.”
Sorry, any oil exec that goes in front of any govt committee to discuss pricing deserves what they get!
I’d give them NOTHING but an empty chair!!!!!!!!!!
They know it’s Senile Joe’s fault and are trying to provide cover.
It hurts my brain to watch the stupidity of members of Congress.
“Why is there a disconnect between the falling price of crude oil and the fact that the cost of gas is staying the same?”
Oil Exec: “Well, as you can see by these helpful PR stickers that they have been posting at gas pumps, the Joe Biden administration has claimed responsibility for that.”
a year ago these same dolts were pressing them to cut back production to raise prices. yes, folks, we do remember that.
Vintage Stalin. Break the industry, shoot the managers, nationalize the industry.
Idiots need to ‘press’ themselves for the policies they have implemented that have just fraked up this country and caused the inflation, high gas prices, etc. you think!?!?!
Bet, not a one has a mirror in their homes and if they do, they certainly dont look into them.....
Complete farce...
Really? The average person at the pump knows there has always been difference between crude and refined gasoline. Crude goes up in price, later it hits the gas stations. Crude goes down, and the same thing occurs. I've known this since I first started driving at 16.
Is it more possible for Biteme's handlers to install more stupid people in these positions? Or are they simply told their talking points/positions in advance by the Dark Side, as I call it?
Disclaimer: I have no inside or direct knowledge of the energy industries. If I'm wrong, I'm welcome to input.
Democrats Have Gasoline Price Amnesia
Only last October they browbeat U.S. CEOs to produce less oil and gas.
During the Oct. 28 hearing, California Rep. Ro Khanna praised BP and Shell CEOs for pledging to reduce their oil production. Then he asked U.S. oil execs why they weren’t doing the same. “Are you embarrassed as an American company that your production is going up while the European counterparts are going down?”
No competent CEO would hire a DemocRAT lawmaker to do anything more than janitorial service.
If I was one of these guys, I’d simply say the following, “The government makes much more from every barrel of oil than we do.” Then get up and walk out.
Lawmakers press oil CEOs on high gas prices
Democratic Lawmakers deflect blame for high gas prices on oil CEOs
There, fixed it
My primary concern regarding fair business practice has nothing to do with profit margin but rather whether the seller of a good or service holds a monopoly or whether there is collusion among sellers for price setting. In both cases, competition which is essential for market driven capitalism doesn't exist, in which case the government must advocate for fairness and the consumer.
I don’t recall Democrats bringing in oil executives to testify when gas was under $1.50/gallon in many states.
