Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday post-war Ukraine will likely be modeled as a “big Israel” in terms of security with self-protection, and will no longer be a “liberal European” city.
“Ukraine will definitely not be what we wanted it to be from the beginning. It is impossible. Absolutely liberal, European – it will not be like that. It [Ukraine] will definitely come from the strength of every house, every building, every person,” Zelensky said at a press briefing.
“We will become a ‘big Israel’ with its own face. We will not be surprised if we have representatives of the Armed Forces or the National Guard in cinemas, supermarkets, and people with weapons. I am confident that the question of security will be the issue number one for the next 10 years. I am sure of it.”
He added he would not, however, allow it to turn into an authoritarian state which “is impossible in Ukraine.”

Zelenzkyy is getting all kinds of praise for getting his people killed and his country destroyed. The number one job for any leader is to keep other countries out.

If he believes that then why doesn’t he just agree to conditions - so I don’t believe a word. It’s just another sympathy speech to keep the revenue flowing when this is over....now he’s got to sell the world to rebuild his country.

One indication that Israel is not liberal European is the birthrate. The amusing part is we all know how high the Orthodox birthrate is. The high Orthodox birthrate influences the not as religious families to have more children than they would have, if living in the US or Europe. My Orthodox cousin moved there and has 23 or 24 grandchildren from her three sons.

I tend to think everything from Russia and from Ukraine as propaganda.... mainly because the media has proven itself untrustworthy within our own political realms, imagine what lies it tells about a war. Self-interest of the ruling class is dictating how this war is perceived

Unlike in 2014 when Russia waltzed into Crimea, Ukraine has a westernized capable military. They are even getting professional soldiers from outside the country volunteering for free. Whereas Russia has to pay Muslims mercenaries to kill Christian Slavs.
Best case scenario for Russia is Ukraine agrees to give up Donbass plus.

Then Zelly sent a missile to take out an ammo dump 10 miles inside Ruke borders. He probably told Ras Putin that coulda been a dirty bomb or a low yield nuke. The Rukes pulled back from Kiyyieyyev after it. Right around that time, Vlad whined about using his own nukes if it turned out to be an “existential” war.
Now he’s sayin’ the country will be like Israel, whom everyone knows they have nukes.
