Desperate Vladimir Putin is recruiting a Dad’s Army of old folks to prop up his creaking Ukraine invasion.
The Russian army has put out an SOS for volunteers aged up to 60 after sustaining heavy losses during the disastrous six-week campaign.
The military wants ex-soldiers nearing retirement age to rejoin in the Siberian cities of Chelyabinsk and Tyumen, according to Russian media.
Moscow desperately wants old tank commanders, snipers and engineers.
They would join up to 60,000 reservists recently called to active service along with 134,500 new conscripts forced into action.
The conscripts - men aged 18 to 27 - make up a quarter of the army and only usually serve for a year.
Defence experts said inexperienced fighters sent to Ukraine would be going to a `slaughterhouse’.
The Kremlin has promised not to send the new recruits to warzones - but it previously pledged not to launch an invasion.
Russia’s recruitment and conscription drives come amid NATO estimate that up to 15,000 Russian troops have perished in the war.
The Ukrainian defence ministry said the death toll could be as high as 18,300.

Does anyone still believe this stuff?
Old guys are not going to fall for that.
LMAO is this what James Bond does nowadays or is it just one of Christopher Steele’s new dossiers?
Seems the UK media is a lot more accurate than the US’s. And that goes for a lot of stuff including the biden junk. This war disgrace is a good thing they’re covering
Desperation time. Next will be Putin’s Youth Army of 12 year olds.
I think British Intelligence feeds the British media this crap.
So is Daily Star considered unreliable by the Putin Puffers?
I do not expect Ukraine to do so, either.
Both sides are going to lie, as effectively as they can, to make their side look good and the other side look bad.
War is mostly based on deceit.
So much for two days in and out.
It is a very difficult job, tremendously complicated in institutions which routinely practice deceit.
A primary part of training in the US military has been: Do not lie to your own side. (not civilians, they do not count, to your chain of command).
This seems to be a serious problem for the Russian military.
As much as I believe the Russians are just about to launch their incredible super-sophisticated plan that will lead them to overwhelming victory, as soon as they’re done with their tea.
It appears to be considered reliable by the Schwab Puffers...

One way to tell if a news story is full of crap is when they use words like “desperate,” “creaking,” and “disastrous.” This article is full of hyperbolic statements like that, which means it’s ridiculous and worthless as far as news goes. 😂
Especially when they rape conscripts during training, sell gas to get money to buy vodka and they never bother with the upkeep of their vehicles.
In a vacuum with no facts, one would write exactly this propaganda. I find it more than a coincidence that there is never a story about some awful reverses the Uk’s faced, or a piece of correct strategy or tactics employed by the Russians.
Sorry, folks. It doesn’t shake out that way. We are being spoon fed Biden and Soros’ bullshit as a predicate to supporting the lesser of two evils, one of which is paying them off.
For reference, during the Winter War that another fake country, Finland, fought the Russians for their independence, the Russians lost ~120K KIA over 3 months.
How is this propaganda? There are a lot of Soviet-Afghan War veterans still alive. They would be valuable if they are healthy enough to serve. Doubt that they’re would want to do it though. Since they’re Russian, they’ll rather drink vodka at home.
