1917, the Russian revolution ushered in communism. It did not work then and does not work now. 100s of millions have died because of communism and many more will.
Oddly. if communism really worked I would be a communist. It does not work and only brings suffering, tyranny and death. Capitalism is a selfish efficient system. It has lifted billions from poverty. I cast my vote for capitalism.
Sadly today in the United States we suffer from “Crony Capitalism” which is the first step to Fascism. When government and capitalists work together for power and financial gain fascist tyranny is soon to follow.
Don’t worry, BlackRock and Vanguard will buy them up for when everyone gets to become renters...

Hard to believe but Oregon and Washington have become more insane than California.
I’ve been getting three postcards a month, offering to buy my house.
They’re vacuuming up dumps in the middle of nowhere.
One thing that needs to come out of the current crapstorm is no more “to big to fail”. You go under as a bank or giant investment consortium, etc... Your holdings get auctioned for pennies on the dollar and you’re asset stripped. The losses to all the retirement investors will get offset by the huge reduction in costs.
Institutions wouldn’t do this if they weren’t sure politicians would bail them out with our money.
Any calamity that happens to Portland, Oregon is MUSIC TO MY EARS!
The city has been so screwed up for so long, it is great to see the crap that they deserve inundate the area.
The “Rose City” stinks and needs a flushing.
All has everything to do with their liberal, commie politics.
I was a landlord once. So was my Dad, once. Once was enough for both of us. He sold, I burned. Game over either way. Wish I still had the property he sold.
Embrace the suck, love the suck.

There hasn’t been anything to rent in so Oregon since the Alameda fire Sept 2020. I had to buy a place just to have a place to sleep. Don’t know what they plan to do with all the illegals heading to sanctuary Oregon.
