In a field of big names with tenuous connections to the Keystone State, Bartos calls himself “a lifelong Pennsylvanian” with pride. He’s fairly quick to criticize several of his higher profile opponents as “political tourists who have parachuted into Pennsylvania.”
“While I’ve been fighting for Pennsylvania, they’ve been fighting each other.”
His roots in the state gave the Bartos campaign an early leg-up in February when he won a series of regional straw polls by Republican committee members. A RealClear Politics poll released earlier this month showed Bartos fourth in the field of seven, with businessman and former George W. Bush administration official Dave McCormick and heart surgeon and TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz in a close race for the lead.
He was among the speakers Thursday at a Bedford County Republican gathering at the Bedford American Legion.
Bartos, a native of Berks County, owns a contracting company and several real estate acquisition and development companies active in the Philadelphia area. He and his wife, Sheryl, have two daughters ages 21 and 19 and have made their home in southeastern Pennsylvania.

If elected, Bartos said his top three priorities would be:
• In response to a New York City initiative allowing non-citizens to vote, insisting that only US citizens be allowed to cast ballots.
• Maintaining the Senate filibuster, which he described as the tool that protects the nation from “70 years of lunacy.”
• Above all, protecting and utilizing Pennsylvania’s energy resources, which he described as “a national key strategic tool.”
Pennsylvania’s energy reserves, he said provide the obvious solution to global shortages. He observed that Pennsylvania is sitting on “two Saudi Arabias worth of natural gas.”

I have voted in Pennsylvania since 1984. Kathy Barnette will get my vote as she is a true conservative that will look out for taxpayers and stand against the swamp.
I don’t live in PA but have many (mostly Dem.) relatives there. I sent money to Kathy Barnette. Hope she has a chance!
