I can’t believe we’ve been sitting on our hands; our intel community MUST have know this was coming.

Ask yourself what’s more important. This sort of thing or
Donald Trump’s collusion with Putin?

That 9,000 MPH may have been pure propaganda also. We don’t
know for sure.

Our military probably does.

Back in the 90s I tried to remind folks that if we allowed
China to have our tech, they would at some point have the
funding to run research and develop certain weapons before
we did.

At that point we would no longer be the cutting edge
military power we have been for decades. The response was
that I was acting like a child, and had no clue what I was
talking about.

Here we are. Russia isn’t alone developing these. China
is also. I think both have working products now.

Naturally those with the big mouths back then, aren’t
around any longer.

They could have been the CCP for all we know.

There is now talk of the proliferation of these hypersonic
missiles. They are very dangerous, and if Iran, Kim, or
other problematic nations get them, it’s not going to be
good for anyone.

Russia and China just opened up a whole new can of worms.

We’ll be having to deal with them just like we did nukes.
And when combined, they’ll be a very big problem.

It’s not just the idea of a new way to deliver nukes. It’s
that it reduced the fail safe time to nearly nothing.

They can’t be defended against either. And that means it
will be much more likely that nations will openly consider
being a first strike nation.

They might not be able to respond, so they may simply
decide to shoot first.

I think that’s debatable in part, but it’s certainly a new
very unthinkable debate, we’re having to contemplate.
