To: Bruce Campbells Chin

I work at a farmers’ coop. Can’t get half the fertilizer we need, and the price is through the roof. Most farmers bury themselves in debt every year and gamble they’ll make a profit. Lots of them are opting to not take the risk this year with the level of debt they would have to take on.

The price of fertilizer already was high back in November. There are a ton of articles out there talking about the fertilizer shortage that predated this war.

I grow strawberries and tomatoes, I bought all my fertilizer in October. Our local COOP manager called and said if you can buy your fertilizer now for next year you need to. He said if I have it next year your not going to be able to afford it.
