I was never a big fan of the “teacher mentality” which the current state of affairs has proven myself (and my mother) correct but glancing through some of my old yearbooks from the 1980’s and looking through the faculty list—I had some damn fine teachers in my day. They were professional (and dressed the part), knowledgeable, smart, and very effective educators and teachers.
I was never molested by any of them, and to the best of my knowledge, they weren’t sleeping with students.....perhaps with each other but not the students.
I actually had a proper education. I can’t imagine the garbage that is “teaching” today
Yep... But many parents don’t care. I grew up in a small town. Many male teachers were banging the young high school girls and everyone in town knew. Nothing happened. The swamp will always protect its own even when it is a small town creature.
I continue to be amazed at the meltdown Leftists are having over this. “Just GOTTA talk sex with little kids! Whatever will I do if I can’t talk sex to kids 10 and under without their parents’ consent?”
No matter what they say about “gay” or whatever, the fact that it bothers them so much makes it clear to all the world that that’s exactly what these Pedos are doing. I barely remember one of my teachers’ names when I was in in kindergarten through 3rd grade. None of us at that age had any idea what sex was. Why would we? Why would kids now?
We certainly didn’t need to hear about it - much less from someone other than our parents - without our parents’ knowledge or consent.
Ultimately, I think the answer is school vouchers. If every kid gets a voucher spendable at any school, it essentially privatizes the whole system at a stroke. Freaks like these could be fired at a private school if they ever managed to get hired in the first place. In public schools of course, there is no accountability.
Agreed. My ultimate solution is vouchers. Each school would have to compete for students. Teachers who were freaks could and would get their azzes fired. The power of the NEA, the teachers’ union which is probably THE most destructive organization in America would be broken. As with anything else, the quality of education would improve drastically if it were private rather than public.
Sure, there would be a handful of public schools for the problem kids nobody else would take, but they would be few in number. The damage these pedos and freaks could inflict would be much more limited.
Government schools. Not public schools, government schools.
The hypocrite bureaucrats don't like monopolies unless it's their monopoly.
We also need to fire alot of politicians and we also need alot of democrat party voters to experience personal consequences for voting democrat.
We need to cull the School Boards and District Offices (state and local levels) who are demanding teachers teach this kind of crap. A lot of people do not realize the teachers do not have control of what they teach or even how they teach it.
Bkmk
The first thing that needs to happen is to install cameras in every classroom that can accessed by any parent at any time during the school day. Cameras are so cheap today that they are being installed on the front doors of many homes. No one parent would have to watch every single class that their student is attending. Parents could organize and assign which class each parent is going to watch every school day. Then they could communicate with the group of parents if they were unhappy if the teacher in a particular class was not teaching what they were hired to do. Also, the cameras could be positioned so that the entire classroom could be seen. Any unruly student could be recorded and, if sufficient discipline was not administered, parents would know and ask that something be done.
Now, the teachers unions would scream that the cameras should not be allowed in the classrooms. However, the pandemic proved that not to be the case. It was virtual schooling that allowed parents to see what was being taught to their children, and this resulted in mayhem at many school board meetings when parents showed up for the first time to demand that changes be made.
There is no downside to placing cameras in every classroom. There are many positives about this tactic. The revolt of parents about critical race theory is the most prevalent topic to date. Cameras in every classroom would reveal many more failures on the part of public school teachers.
Tenured teacher laws need to modified so that teachers could be fired if the recorded evidence proved that the teacher is not competent to teach the subject that they are paid to teach.
We also need to fire a lot of teachers for being incompetent and reduce the number of administrative paper pushers. If we would move to school vouchers many public schools would close their doors as parents with a choice would send their kids to the better likely private schools.
Well said.
Well what you’d have is polarized schools. Totally woke liberal socialist ones, and then you’d have varying degrees of lesser ones, and then a segment of normal schools focused on teaching, learning and excellence, achievement, and real academics.
What percentage of the population is woke? What percentage who has kids? They rely on indoctrinating other people’s kids. Very few schools would be woke.
Agreed. That is the truth. Wokeism requires converts to become mentally I’ll through indoctrination.
At least 40%. 40% vote liberal no matter what.
She is married to a guy, she is not a sodomite, she just wants to be "cool".
Exactly.
A mass public hanging of pervert teachers would have a salutatory effect on the general public morale as a whole.
