Yup - and one of them invaded the other, not the other way around. The Russians are the aggressors this time, the bad guys, right?
We have abided by it.
Russia, the US and the UK agreed to seek immediate UN Security Council if the Ukraine was the victim of aggression.
We did that.
Believe it or not, it was not I who excerpted this material.
It was some wanker who either stole it or "wrote" it trying
to score some traffic to make money for hookers and crack.
Vlad the Imploder likes mass murder as one way to exert power.
Since the Russians’ chief complaints have continued from those days in 1994 and before, there is nothing but duplicity from the Democrats in charge then, and same from the Democrats in charge now.
Trump may have been a PITA on the world stage, but generally he made it obvious where he stood.
Sadly, elections have consequences. And you are correct . Iran is going to go nuclear in spite of and in addition to the money bribed to them .
Disgusting
One of those countries INVADED the other. Try to keep up.
Well then I don't want to hear any of them folks complaining
about meat shortages or lack of dog food.
Please look to our Southern border. We are being invaded by people who hate us and will change the fabric of our nation.
Russia invaded. You DO accept that, right? And it is a VIOLATION of the Agreement, right? Or is that somehow showing “respect” for Ukraine’s borders and sovereignty?
So we can just as easily engage in a “special military exercise” over there. It would “respect Ukraine’s borders” as per the Agreement.
I would hope we engage in a lend-lease type of program which would include the emBASEee strategee

We could call it the BBudapest AAgreement LLend LLease program because it would take BALLs.
Or, we could just continue down the path of betrayal we have set up, and push the Ukes into a nuke corner.
“The surprise German invasion of the U.S.S.R. began on June 22, 1941. The Soviets, during their hasty retreat, shot their political prisoners and, whenever possible, evacuated personnel, dismantled and removed industrial plants, and conducted a scorched-earth policy—blowing up buildings and installations, destroying crops and food reserves, and flooding mines. Almost four million people were evacuated east of the Urals for the duration of the war. The Germans moved swiftly, however, and by the end of November VIRTUALLY ALL OF UKRAINE WAS UNDER NAZI CONTROL.

Initially, the Germans were greeted as liberators by SOME of the Ukrainian populace. In Galicia especially, there had long been a widespread belief that Germany, as the avowed enemy of Poland and the U.S.S.R., was the Ukrainians’ natural ally for the attainment of their independence.
The illusion was quickly shattered.
In the occupied territories, the Nazis sought to implement their “racial” policies. In the fall of 1941 began the mass killings of Jews that continued through 1944. An estimated 1.5 million Ukrainian Jews perished, and over 800,000 were displaced to the east; at Baby Yar (Ukrainian: Babyn Yar) in Kyiv, nearly 34,000 were killed in just the first two days of massacre in the city. [See also Holocaust: The Einsatzgruppen.]
In the Reichskommissariat, ruthlessly administered by Erich Koch, Ukrainians were slated for servitude. The collective farms, whose dissolution was the fervent hope of the peasantry, were left intact, industry was allowed to deteriorate, and the cities were deprived of foodstuffs as all available resources were directed to support the German war effort. Some 2.2 million people were taken from Ukraine to Germany as slave labourers (Ostarbeiter, or “eastern workers”). Cultural activities were repressed, and education was limited to the elementary level.
Under such conditions of brutality, Ukrainian political activity, predicated originally on cooperation with the Germans, increasingly turned to underground organizational work and resistance. The OUN groups that streamed eastward in 1941 were soon subjected by the German authorities to repressive measures, including execution, so they propagated their nationalist views clandestinely and, through their contact with the local population, began to revise their ideology in a more democratic, pluralist direction.”
No, but it was you that moved JR’s word into a sentence in the article.
I think the French did the same thing, as well as the Dutch, the Belgians, and of course the Germans. I'll look forward to your posts about those nation's actions in the 1940s.
You do know that the vast majority of Ukrainians alive today had not been born yet when WW2 happened, right?
Do you think how the USA treats France or Germany today should be based on what their governments did during World War 2?
Russia invaded their southern border, so it’s okay. Mexico is overdue for one.

Reason enough to invade Mexico, the dangerous Narco State that keeps sending their less-than-best to illegally colonize America. Set up a 100 mile buffer zone. Patrolled by military rather than DHS. Establish emBASEees, all along the perimeter. Intercept the illegal colonizers, dump them on the other side of the bufferzone in Mehico.
That is a twisted view of reality. Do you really think that little kids, or random civilians in any country are legitimate targets of war? Are the kids going to 1st grade in your town legitimate targets for some group or nation that doesn't like the United States?
The Ukrainian civilians killed by the invading Russians did nothing to deserve being killed.
Quick question: why are you so apparently emotionally invested in what is happening in a regional conflict in Eastern Europe.
I've asked this question of several very vocal and prolific Ukraine cheerleaders; not one has answered.
If you can't get preeminence, demand parity.
“I’ll look forward to your posts about those nation’s actions in the 1940s.”
No need to wait. Any wars those people want to get into aren’t our fight either.
“You do know that the vast majority of Ukrainians alive today had not been born yet when WW2 happened.”
Just about all of them, I would think. Which makes this kind of hard to understand....
Yup. Bad shit all around.
The first Russian pogroms took place in the early 1820s, in Ukraine (Odessa, I think). And they pretty much became regular events in the 1880s, continuing until the 1940s.
Ukraine and Bessarabia (Moldova) were the primary sites of the pogroms.
