Ghosts of Putin's Army: Columns of Russian armoured vehicles line the highways out of Kyiv in 'tank graveyards' as advancing Ukrainians find civilians shot with their hands tied behind their backs
Daily Mail ^ | 4/2/2022 | Jacob Thorburn

Once-bustling highways on the outskirts of Kyiv have now become a graveyard for scores of Vladimir Putin's tanks as the Ukrainians continue their successful counterattacks around the capital.

Columns of Russian armoured vehicles have been reduced to rubble as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's troops continue to repel Russian forces, and in some instances recapture roads and settlements near to Kyiv.

As Ukrainian units advance, they're met with burned-out tanks and heavily-armoured personnel transport vehicles that line the roads once populated by commuters that would have been heading in or out of the capital.

But far more grisly finds are being discovered in the villages and towns in Kyiv's urban sprawl. After recapturing Bucha from the Russian forces, Ukrainian troops found the bodies of 20 men in civilian clothes on a single street.

In what could be further evidence of Russian war crimes, eyewitnesses said one of the corpses had his hands tied, with the dead bodies strewn all over residential roads in the suburban town that was once home to 28,000 people.

President Zelensky warned Moscow's retreating forces are leaving behind 'catastrophic' situations by mining the areas outside their homes, abandoning their ruined equipment and the 'bodies of those killed'.

When you see a whole apartment blocks destroyed on western media you never see the full story which is that the top five floors are filled with militia fighters and littered with grenade launchers and 50 calibre guns, and in the bottom floors and basements the Ukrainian army holds the residents hostage. That strategy is straight out of NATO’s official urban warfare manual for colour revolutions . Ask yourself who benefits from firing up and down at 14 story high-rise. only the Ukrainians would benefit because they’re using human shields and they can’t be easily dislodged. There’s zero strategic benefit for Russians shooting up aoartments over engaging the army. It’s a waste of ammunition for no strategic reason. The media that’s been lying to us for four straight years about Trump in the election is suddenly gold plated and full of integrity over this war? You never going to even get close to the truth unless you look at both sides and only on Telegram which is encrypted, uncensored and beyond the reach of Silicon Valley.

Nah, I think the Soviets would have chewed up enough Germans to halt them around Moscow and then tied up whole armies for years.

The US would have gone into the Pacific with no Soviet help (like it did) and the end result would have been the same. Probably would have just taken longer.

You’re only ever treated to the image on the left in the corrupt, globohomo western media. The image on the right is out of NATO field manual written in Ukrainian demonstrating how to use a city’s residents as humans shields in urban warfare. Picture matches the manual pretty well, I’d say. D573-C73-D-CDF2-403-F-A923-C780-E30-BEA5-F

Because the Russian generals have been gun decking their readiness reports for decades and stealing everything that wasn’t nailed down. I’m surprised any of it is running at all.

You're right. The Russians are that corrupt. But back in the day when Zhukov was in charge, the Soviets were powerful with the Red Army. It was a little bit different because they were fighting for the Motherland after taking tremendous casualties during Operation Barbarossa.

What’s this about Russia’s army being a joke? Compared to the US military? Thats an apples and oranges comparison. FC655-EE4-5-DEB-4960-979-E-91083-B0-D100-B

The shooting of civilians may occur if they took up arms against the Russians and were not wearing any identifying badge, armband, uniform or other identifying marker. They are not lawful combatants under the Geneva convention. That is true for signatories of the Geneva convention. If a nation has not signed the convention then it can get very nasty.

If a civilian in Russian controlled territory is passing information to the Ukrainian forces, they may be tried as a spy and executed.

But I doubt that this was treatment of spies, saboteurs and franc-tireurs.

I suspect that this was revenge for the pounding the Ukrainians gave to the Russians when they were out of supplies and fuel. And shame and anger may unleash extreme brutality.

I have Ukrainian Russian friends with large extended families in Kharkov, which is Ukraine’s second largest city. What they report compared to what the western news media reports is like day and night. The Russians are winning in fact, and they are doing so with a 1:1 parity of 220,000 troops instead of the classic 3:1 advantage for an attacker. How they did that was simple. The Russian army immediately encircled Ukraine’s major cities in the West and North that in the opening of the war. By doing so they pinned 60% of Ukraine‘s army in place. That freed up the Russians to take on the Donbass region with a small, highly mobile second front, which was their primary objective. Now that half of the Ukrainian force has been destroyed in Mariupol, they’re going for the last remnant in the northern Oblast of Donbas where 40,000 of the best Ukrainian troops (marines, special forces and of course these neo-Nazis militias) remain. They will be wiped out And there’s nothing Zelenski, NATO or anybody can do about it

So when you see the Russians “retreating” from the major cities in the north and the west don’t believe the DailyMail propaganda that they’re “running in disarray and defeat.” They’re moving east, doing exactly what was the original battle plan which was to take the final fight to the last 40,000 Ukronazis in northern Donbas. When that army is eliminated Ukraine is completely on the ropes and I expect Zelensky to resign at that point.

This is classic War Propaganda.

Would that include the MSM (who you don't trust) claims that Zelensky is corrupt or are you selective in your propagandist claims?

You can't have it both ways..........

You might want to google Zelensky's net worth and compare it to his predecessor, Poroshenko and tell me how he has been profiting from his alleged ties to corruption in the Ukraine.......

It’s clear that Putin, his commanders, and his troops are war criminals. But nothing will/can be done about it. Who is going to arrest them? Who is going to place them on trial? I’m afraid this time, there will be no Moscow Tribunal.
