Question: Your screen name is Navy Patriot. Did you serve in the navy of some country? If so, which country?
Civilization is at war with Russia. Contracts are out the window at this point. There is no solution that will satisfy these thugs because they believe they have to control every county they border. So, Russia will do what they feel they need to do and the west will do what it needs to do. It will suck for a while, and then we'll win.
“Since Russia owns the commodity it seems reasonable that they would make such a decision.”
Did Russia stipulate in the contract that payments can only be made in rubles? I doubt it, since when the contracts were negotiated and signed the ruble was not a very secure or stable instrument or medium of exchange.
Good news,sweetheart, we WON!
When they get below 73 then we will see some fun.
contract smontract
It’s called “war”
The west thinks it is free to do whatever it wants and Russia just has to take it.
Sounds a lot like some democrats I’ve heard of.
Is 1906 the date you stopped thinking?
But even if there were no force majeure clause - which would be incredible - no judge could enforce a ruling anyway.
The West has already seized everything not nailed down. Russia's trade partners are not going to blanch, and Putin doesn't need to make nice with anyone else.
Putin will offer to maintain the contracts at current value (but in Rubles) because it's good policy to have contented customers. But if they refuse, so be it.
Civilization is at war with Russia.

No they aren’t. Only Ukraine, the degenerate Left, and Neo-Con cranks are “at war with Russia”. Now if the Ruskies go any further by invading Poland or any other member of NATO, then fine...I’ll consider myself at war with them. But even then only grudgingly as I think it’s Europe’s job to protect their own milquetoast hides.
Actually PUTIN admits he can’t do it. So he does this instead:

How about this one?

As long as Putin can turn the pipeline on or off, he holds the power.
And Georgia and Moldova and Chechnya and Crimea......
See, there you go being observational again.
Maybe Putin is playing by the rules, and just putting it on record if he wins in court, by winning and it not being enforced.
The only other option is force, and the non America-aligned world can point to the West's failure to follow it's own rules and side with Russia for their own benefit.
THEN Putin applies the force he can wield with the allies he can collect, and the West applies the force they can agree on, and ...
The one that applies the Most Force the Bestest Wins, writes the History, and hangs the losers.
I read the same ones you did...and I can refer to the same ones you did. If you can refer to something you haven’t read, so can everyone else. Get it, Sparky?
That is significant power, but what if Putin only turns the gas off AFTER winning a court decision on Breech of Contract?
From what I know the situation I feel Russia is completely justified. You can’t just steal reserves, sorry. Now that they’ve taken that step it’s hard to blame Russian for not wanting to hold more of those “reserves” when it’s easily stolen.
Pound Sand, Media Shill Propagandist.
I merely asked you a simple question, without malice. You, however, not only did not answer the question, but you automatically assumed malintent, and resorted to childish asides. You have described yourself far more accurately by your posting history than you could ever do on your profile page (which, by the way, is blank).
