Disney employee Jose Castillo, a Republican candidate for Congress in Florida, decried his employer’s open opposition to the Parental Rights in Education Bill that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis just signed into law.
Castillo asserted that Disney was “making a terrible miscalculation” by picking a side that could be “bad for business.”
“I think they’re making a terrible miscalculation that, you know, ultimately, maybe, will be bad for business,” Castillo outlined. “Their statement says this about the bill that Ron DeSantis passed. They said, ‘Our goal as a company is for the law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down by the courts.’ And in the left, they talk about democracy after this election. And so what about our democracy right now? You know, the people of Florida, a lot of Disney cast members voted for our state legislature. These are duly-elected members of Florida, House of Representatives in the Florida Senate who passed this bill, sent it to the governor. And thank God, our governor has the backbone to stand up to companies like mine, Disney, and pass this bill and stand with the people of Florida, stand with the parents and protect our children.”
He added, “What Disney fails to realize is that we’ve gotten emails from our executives saying their stance is on the bill and whatnot. And what people fail to realize, I knew where … they stood already, but there’s a lot of people that are disappointed in Disney.”

It all goes sideways when companies forget they are responsible to shareholders and do stupid things like pick sides or go woke.
Yeah there’s that, bad for business.
But fundamentally: Disney’s posture on this issue is morally repugnant and degenerate.
I feel for the good people who strive to make disney a family place but are stuck with bad company policy.
F Disney!!!
But, but, that law will keep homosexual kindergarten teachers from talking about their love lives with their kids.
/disgusted
I wonder how long before Castillo loses his job?
“...And in the left, they talk about democracy...”
The Disney Corporation’s opposition to the Parental Rights Law is openly based on loyalty to the gay cause(s) rather than to what their customers want or need. I don’t think this is going to end well for Disney
It looks to be a common factor amongst the militant alphabet people. Normal people don’t festoon their businesses with flags proclaiming their heterosexuality, nor do they complain about not being able to discuss their love lives with kindergarteners, nor demand that public employees be required to march in ‘straight pride’ parades—not that such parades would be allowed.
One employee? That’s going to hurt. /sarc
Disney General Entertainment President Karey Burke stated on TV that she has two queer kids. A transgender and a pansexual.
Get woke, Go broke.
Who cares?
Disney’s original mission was to package and sell the ideals of Western culture, although I doubt Walt would have put it that way.
This has made it a target of the Left since the 1930s.
The Left has finally won. They’ve captured the central-most commercial ganglion and conveyor of everything that was best of our culture, and they’re going to use it to inject poison, or destroy it. One or the other. Either way, they get a win.
If they were smart Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Universal etc. would bring all attention to bear on Disney and their brazen perverted wokeism.
Make then pay dearly for their imbecilic unforced error.
“I feel for the good people who strive to make disney a family place but are stuck with bad company policy.”
There are tons of very lovely elderly staff that work Disney, and you can just tell they love people and kids and working at the happiest place on Earth.
I feel sorry for them! They have to be brooding.
Disney’s AA policies put a bunch of degenerates on their corporate board.
“It’s one thing to have one queer kid, but two of them? “
And not your every day gay kids!
I hope Disney’s business shrinks to only appealing to the perverts they are chasing.
Let the Disney theme parks be only visited by the fringe queers.
That should leave a huge negative mark on their bottom line.
They have earned the strong condemnation of the the world’s normal people.
Yeah, she said one was pansexual. Which basically means if it moves f it. And I’m not sure it has to be alive when it comes down to that stuff for them.
