Keane probably has more connections to the real fighting men than anyone at the Pentagon. He’s a fighting mans general.
Gen. Keane is at odds with another retired military man, Col. Douglas Macgregor.
While Gen. Keane is all out for supporting Ukraine and giving her the support needed to fight Russia, Col. MacGregor has been saying from the outset that fighting is useless and recommending Ukraine to give up and surrender.
So was LeMay, so was Patton. But it would be insanity to allow either one into the policy setting arena.
