Keane probably has more connections to the real fighting men than anyone at the Pentagon. He’s a fighting mans general.
So was LeMay, so was Patton. But it would be insanity to allow either one into the policy setting arena.

I also know leadership types like him, and they just don't the computer informational skills to re-invent themselves in the information space after a certain age. No reflection on Keane - you either have to be brought up with this stuff [I call them "The Video Children"], or be in that small percentage of people my age that can shift gears into the technology.
I actually had to go outside Free Republic to find credible sources about what's going on.
I don't usually have to do that.
The stuff on BOTH sides on the board here is mostly useless chaff.
