I'll never forget my first Manager at MCI had been a Marine DI. He was a manager, not a technician. Even at MCI there were very few technicians that moved up to the top. We had one Vice President that had been an Air Force Tech Controller the same as me, but everyone understood that he remembered only enough to get himself in trouble.

I'm impressed by Keane's service record - but I know what I know about organizations.

As do you.

the moment the united states decided to leverage the Petro Doller in this conflict we lost long term.... the only reason the Doller was the currency that was favored was that at the end of ww 2 are infrastructure and economy was intact....W have just got done riding 75 years of economic domination that was driven by this fact. Now no country can trust our currency and other economic institutions to not weaponize itself in a conflict internationally.

Keane is just one of thousands of examples of why, when you leave government service, you are stripped of your security clearances. This clown was a general. One of the highest clearances you can get.

Those of us who have been there know that you don't get access to anything without "the Need to Know."   How much does an Eighty year old retired General have "the Need to Know?"   Zilch!

But it’s those connections. It’s those phone calls. It’s those drunks at Happy Hour.

“Hey buddy, what’s going on? I still have a clearance. Technically. What’s the harm?”

And since they’re using that clearance and former positions to make money, the info flows until the baton is passed to the next guy.

It was recently reported that Hunter Biden was communicating with both Ukraine and Russia on oil issues. So where does official US interest lie with how this all turns out? Hopefully Biden’s apparent shock at Russian attrocities might shift the balance of interest in the outcome.

It is sad to see so-called Freepers rooting for Putin or passing sly inuendos about Ukraine and its leaders. Glad to see more Freepers taking up the fight against totalitarianism and invasion, Recently I was informed about how the discovery of oil and gas around Crimea and under Donbass in 2012 resulted in exploration contracts with oil majors. Then in 2014 Putin took Crimea and began inserting Russian mercenaries into East Ukraine to foment rebellion and discord. The oil companys left. Freeoer Kevmo has taken some comments I wrote, and some from other freepers and posted the excellent and informative link below about the Oil in Ukraine Issue and the War. It is about a lot more than Nord Stream, and completely explains Putin’s cruel decisions.

#32. Well said. And if I may add, the majority of those siding against Ukraine, which means, they are taking Russia's side and are not neutral, are really bad at it.

The corruption throughout the Russian government and military, leading to the incompetence of the Russian army on the battlefield, are two of Ukraine's greatest advantages. The weaknesses Russia has shown were created over decades and can not be overcome in a few weeks.

In my view, all the U.S. and NATO needs is to keep feeding Ukraine weapons, humanitarian add, and support and they can win on their own. There is no need for direct U.S. or NATO involvement at all.
