I agree with your prediction. They will do their best to prop up Joe until the end of his first term. The DNC will then convince Biden to "change his mind" about running for reelection. They will then find one or more strong challengers to fight Harris for the nomination. Harris will lose again in the primaries, saving the Democrats from the tricky task of forcibly removing a woman of color from office. They will then put all of their efforts behind whoever they anoint for the nomination.

Neither Biden, nor Harris, nor Trump will be the nominees of their party in 2024. The Dem powers that be will pull Biden aside, and have a word of prayer with him, and convince him to pass on a 2024 race (if he's still in office when the 2024 primaries begin). Harris may enter the primaries; if so, she'l lose. And Trump's legal problems (whether justified or not), will take him out.
