His speech was too close in time and too far in distance to have instigated anything.
If you mean the Jan. 6 speech, I watched the whole thing. All Trump suggested was that the people express their concerns peacefully.
But a number of people left the speech and went down the mall before Trump had even finished speaking or said that. They’ve said that there were already troublemakers there.
I will always believe that this was somehow set up by interests that wanted to discredit Trump. (If any ‘rhetoric’ led to this, it was the virulent anti-Trump rhetoric that began as soon as he came down the escalator.)
He hasn’t even started his speech and crowds were gathering at the Capitol. Mainly Antifa and FBI of course, but still...
