During a staff meeting on Florida’s recent enactment of the Parental Rights in Education bill, an executive producer at Disney said she was advancing a “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” to insert queerness into children’s animation.
Latoya Raveneau, executive producer for Disney Television Animation, talked about how the studio’s treatment of her progressive ideas defied her negative expectations of the company, in a video obtained by journalist Christopher Rufo. Instead of vetoing her pitches for LGBTQ-friendly Easter eggs or overt references in her series, Disney gladly accepted and included them, she claimed.
“In my little pocket of Proud Family Disney TVA, the showrunners were super welcoming . . . to my not-at-all-secret gay agenda,” she said. “Maybe it was that way in the past, but I guess something must have happened . . . and then like all that momentum that I felt, that sense of ‘I don’t have to be afraid to have these two characters kiss in the background.’ I was just, wherever I could, adding queerness. . . . No one would stop me, and no one was trying to stop me.”
She said that when she joined, she assumed Disney would try to keep LGBTQ elements out of content for younger audiences, but she was pleasantly surprised.

Disney employees staged a walkout last week to protest the measure, wearing rainbow colors, holding signs with pro-LGBTQ slogans, and shouting, “Say Gay,” as they marched down the street.

A neighbor mentioned he might take his family to Disney on vacation, and I talked him out of it - for exactly these reasons.
At least that’s $2000-$3000 which didn’t go to these freaks.

When I use the word you or your here, it is a generic public
sense and not related to you the poster I am responding to.
The problem for me, isn’t that there are homosexual people,
although I’d rather there weren’t quite stridently.
I have had work and friendships with homosexuals and I try
to be cordial and decent. I have real empathy for them.
What I don’t like is when they go beyond the pale to do
things that are inappropriate.
Little kids, deserve to be left alone and live their lives
as innocent little kids for as long as they can. It’s a
magic time of life, never to return once it’s gone.
So I come to the point, that it makes it very hard to hold
a detached decent attitude concerning homosexuals. I can
accept the norms and institutions they have disturbed to
a certain extend, with each other as adults.
Just leave the kids out of it. Don’t groom them in K-12th
grade, and don’t try to lure them into your deviancy.

I wish that Disney not rest but die a horrible death and rot in hell. The company that Walt Disney founded is now a rotten, gay, and violence promoting organization that should die like the executed criminal it is.

I’m not joking. There are many people like her over here in Northern Cal. Right now, almost nobody with decision making power is telling them no. There are signs of change, though.
The general public has begun speaking directly to these issues and letting their objection become known.
Disney became a target because they were built on their family friendly programming. Now, I wouldn’t recommend any of their products based on the franchise name.
These people get a lot of money to lose their mind. I quit Disney after seeing the Beatles “Get Back” session. They are toast.
Jeez… she apparently screwed up the lives of at least a couple of her children and now she wants to screw up the lives of OUR CHILDREN.
