How Russia Reportedly Funded Attacks on U.S. Energy Independence
El American ^

Posted on 03/29/2022 4:05:42 PM PDT by ameribbean expat

As an American 501(c)(3) foundation, Sea Change must disclose what funds it received from the Bahamas, but a Bahamian company or trust is not required to disclose the source of its funds. The Banks and Johnson letter states that:

“According to Sea Change’s tax filings, in 2010 the group received $23 million, half of its annual contributions, from a Bahamian shell corporation linked to the Russian government. Sea Change then passed that money on to groups like the Sierra Club and the Center for American Progress that lobbied politically against fracking (…) In 2020, the Center for American Progress donated more than $800,000 exclusively to Democratic groups and politicians and the Sierra Club Independent Action spent $3 million $700,000 supporting Democratic candidates.”

I remember a lot of Anti-Fracking stuff came from Saudi Arabia so it makes sense that Russia would attack energy independence. Its like America paying for gay stuff in other countries.

“Russian govt —> Bahamian Bank—> US environmental groups. $23m.”

Russia wouldn’t have been very effective IF our ‘environmental groups’ hadn’t taken their money.

Let’s see. Ten percent of $23 million is a pretty good payday - even for The Big Guy.

Isn’t the Center for American Progress a Soros shadowgov group founded by Clinton advisor Podesta, or am I thinking of David Brock?

Okay, so let’s jail and/or execute the NGO plotters who are trying to RUIN us by working with foreigners.

Seriously. Prosecute and/or KILL the MFers who did this. It’s the very least they deserve, and the very least we should do.

Now let’s see if Hannity, Tucker, Charlie Kirk, and a bunch of other right-leaning radio and TV people can stir the pot on this. It has LONG been known that the whole environmental movement is extremely Left-wing, and I always suspected a link to Communist governments - to weaken us, of course.

Our pols - the ones who are supposed to be on our side - also need to stir the pot. Have a bunch of them DEMAND an investigation of the ultimate sources of funding for one of the Dems’ primary support groups - and shout up, down and sideways that Biden’s policies against US oil & gas producers play right into the hands of the Russians and our other enemies.

...and, of course, the Dems know EXACTLY who is funding these groups and them, but they just don’t care. All that matters to them is obtaining, maintaining and growing their power, and damn the consequences. Well, the general public is literally paying the price for these policies, and it is just beginning. There need to be some awesome consequences for the Dems in November, followed by House and Senate investigations into the funding sources of the various environmental groups.

Russia also funded the American nuclear freeze movement, the Saudis did not.

But it was, also, the Russians who instigated a lot of this, so Russia is an enemy, no? Clearly and indisputably an enemy out to damage vital western interests?

Add to that it was also the Russians funding a lot of this in Europe, famously according to the ex-NATO c in c Fogh Rassmussen. And this goes back way before 2014.

That was the Cold War, but what monsters the Soviets created still live among us, existing like animated corpses long after their masters died.

The Sierra Club paid a company called Fenton Communications, which is run by David Fenton, a communist and former sympathizer of North Vietnam, to trash various American industries and create scares against their products, etc. Fenton Communications was behind the Alar scare that targeted Washington apples, and was behind the dairy cow hormone scare on behalf of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream company, etc. I think the Sierra Club was also heavily involved in going after Exxon , blaming it for polluting the rainforest when in fact it was the state run oil company of a country that did that, and long after the fact Exxon bought part of that state run company.

I bet this sort of thing is global and includes the same goings on by Russia in Europe. Anyone could see a EU “green” policy was going to favor Russian energy for decades to come.

I wouldn’t be surprised if China was behind a lot of these “green laws” too since it would mean even more factories would move to their country.

Isn’t “enemy” a strong word?

China isn’t our “enemy”... yet

Well, they are enemies de facto if they engage in such economic sabotage and support destructive internal subversion. Reality is not the same as rhetoric. Its not politic to use the term “enemy” in official speech, but it is what it is regardless.

Okay, so we’ll throw the word around and say China is an enemy. Right? Israel spies on us and plays ALL MANNER of games through NGOs, lobbyists etc. So does Japan.

The guy who tried to move on my commercial action here locally not too long ago...he’s an enemy.

Not really, because I don’t have enemies, but this is your logic.

Environmental Groups? Pikers, the Russians would be wasting their money. If you wanted to see American energy destroyed, you would’ve put every dime you had into the democrat party.
