MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The Russian-Ukrainian talks that took place in Istanbul on Tuesday were constructive, the head of the Russian delegation, Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, told reporters.

He said Moscow made two de-escalatory steps. One was offering to hold a meeting between presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky simultaneously with the initialing of a peace treaty by their Foreign Ministries, or earlier than planned before. In the other step, Russian troops would drastically reduce their activities toward Kiev and Chernigov.

If Washington isn’t successful in subverting the peace process soon, they will have to try a different method to accomplish Russian regime change.

Biden was counting on the war fever to give him cover as a “war president”.

That whole plan has fallen apart spectacularly.

It seems like Ukraine and Russia were set up. Earlier posts here talked about the West throwing cold water on peace negotiations. The Turks on the other hand seem to be hopeful:

They were just offerings. Hasn’t happened yet.

I think it was more the US than the "west". Neocons and Dems want another war.

I wonder if the Kiev/Kyiv concession is because the 40 mile long convoy is stalled and vulnerable.

Neocons and Dems want another war.

It is also becoming clear to Ukraine that all the money they paid the Biden crime family is going to net them no return whatsoever.

Highly unlikely. As I’ve said all along, Zelenskyy knows the real military situation. Zelenskyy was not motivated by western or his own disinfo. He was motivated by the fact that those totally intact forces could be unleashed upon him at Putin’s discretion.

No, it’s because those Russian troops are needed in the east.

Countries in the region don’t want to be engulfed. DC doesn’t care. If a few countries get Stalingraded, it would be a small price to pay for Russian regime change.

This report is from the Putin controlled TASS. How much of this report is trustworthy?

RE: Earlier posts here talked about the West throwing cold water on peace negotiations.

OK, I’m suspecting conspiracy theory in the making.

Why on earth would the USA or Europe not want peace negotiations?

If I were Ukraine, I would be pushing for:

1) Russia publicly admits that they unlawfully invaded Ukraine. Russia publicly renounce any and all claims to land within Ukraine and acknowledge that Ukraine is a sovereign nation able to decide it’s own best interests as to which economic and military alliances are in the best interests of the citizens of Ukraine. Statement to be announced daily on all tv and radio channels every hour for one week.

2) All Russian troops move out of Ukraine lands and sea ports and the respective boarder returns to the pre 2014 invasion boundaries. Russia to withdraw all military land forces 100 km from the Russian / Ukraine boarder and maintain that separation for 10 years.

4) All those who maintain Russian allegiance allowed safe passage/return to Russia. All Ukrainians allowed safe return to Ukraine.

5) Russia to pay reparations for the damages caused. To be paid by Ukraine selling 10% of the gas piped through the pipeline on the world market until the amount received equals the cost of repairs and $100k per Ukrainian killed.

They say the West is concerned that Russia could use the peace talks a a stalling mechanism to re-arm their troops. But then again so could the Ukrainians.

There is so much behind the scene cr@p going on (Great Reset, Hunter’s dealings with Russians and Ukrainians, China jockeying to be #1, etc.) who knows what is really going on?

Exactly right. One thing for sure - if the Dems see another opportunity (real or fabricated) to impose 'emergency election procedures' in November, they'll go "all in" on it. Obviously, an on-going war might do the trick for 'em...

;>)

Both sides have taken heavy casualties.
