Busch beer heiress enters Missouri US Senate race (great! another Pete Coors, who lost to the democrat)

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Anheuser-Busch beer heiress Trudy Busch Valentine on Tuesday announced her candidacy for U.S. Senate, shaking up what has been a low-profile Democratic primary in a solidly red state.

Busch Valentine's entrance into the race comes amid widespread calls from fellow Republicans for former Gov. Eric Greitens to drop out of the race after his ex-wife accused him of physically abusing her and one of their kids.

The latest scandal renewed Republican concerns that Greitens could win the crowded GOP primary but emerge a damaged candidate in the general election, threatening the party's chances of keeping what should be a relatively easy win for Republicans.

Some Democrats already are positioning the race as everyone else versus Greitens. In a Monday announcement dropping out of the Democratic primary, former state Sen. Scott Sifton endorsed Busch Valentine and called on other Democrats to unite behind her.

“Eric Greitens simply cannot be our next senator, and I know that Trudy Busch Valentine gives us the best chance to win in November,” Sifton said.

“Gov. Eric Greitens”

This guy’s name keeps popping up on posts here. He switched from D to R, then ran for and won governorship the following year. Anyone from Missouri want to chime in?

2022 and 2024 will not be the year to run for democrats. As long as either Biden or Harris is in the White House, the D brand will be tainted.

translation, Brandon is killing our fundraising efforts so we need a candidate that has their own money.

“...amid...”

A favorite word of the fakestream media.

Along with defections that thwart.

I should get back to my thwarting habit. Helps build muscle mass.

“So the Busch gal is a Democrat? Or did I read it wrong...?”

Yes. A democrat. My mistake. I thought it was another worthless pantywaist republican trying to stop a conservative from getting the nomination.

By that logic, since she is a Dem, she should sink their side.

He was a Democrat and originally I did not want to vote for him, but was assured by people in his campaign that he was a solid conservative. After he was elected I couldn’t have been happier. He was Trump in Governor form. Unfortunately, our state houses are all RHINO and he received zero support when the Democrat machine in St. Louis did a hit job on him.

The radio personality, Jamie Allman, gave the low down on local radio and named names in such a sour way that he lost his show.

We had several good Republican candidates in the primary that year. When I was surveyed, I told them “anyone but Greitens”.
He had just changed parties and seemed like an obvious “tough guy” phony to me.
It galled me to have to vote for him in the election but, like voting for Todd Akin a few years before, you do what you have to do.
Then, when the predictable happened, and the corrupt DA dug up some dirt on Greitens, he folded like a wet cardboard box.
We again have several good Republican candidates for US senator, and I still say “anyone but Greitens”.

Understand. Missouri needs a candidate who can win and does not have any baggage. But he or she should also be conservative.

Greitens is a typical slimeball politician, thus the moniker Greasy Greitens.
As far as I’m concerned, he can go back to the rat party or just go away.
