With all Biden’s years in politics the only thing he’s an expert in is collecting his pay

If a man goes fishing 8 hrs a day 5 days a week and doesn’t catch anything is he an experienced fisherman?

Once again I invoke something we say from time to time in the square dance caller community where we distinguish one who has 30 years of experience from another who has 1 year of experience 30 times.

Actually, I think she was challenging him with his own words. She mentioned him having “the most foreign policy experience, ever” several times, and was showing the disparity of his experience and his recent Ukraine blunders.

Yeah, and the Washington Generals have the most experience battling with the Harlem Globetrotters, too...

One could clearly and successfully argue that the more time spent on foreign policy at the government level, the less likely any fruitful outcome. Keys to success on foreign affairs are being uncorrupted, a highly intelligent person, a critical thinker, and being good at seeing beyond the cards handed to you.

IOW, Not a politician.

In my opinion Congress critters make lousy Presidents.

There is a different skill set required for a Congressman and a President. Perhaps the biggest is that Congressmen are just one of many and for all their power they are seldom held accountable for their actions.

Governors and chief executive officers of large corporation have a better understanding on what it takes to “govern” a bureaucracy. And that is after all the main job of a President.

Unfortunately in our political system today name recognition has more power then competency.

Of course, it IS called “fishing,” not “catching.” So, yes, you would be a very experienced fisherman.

When Biden was mentally competent, he was (minimally) qualified for his office, although, since 1956, (last election without televised debates), the quality of pure executive ability in the candidates is way down..

But whatever Biden had by way of experience or knowledge, most of it is gone and he has become a very dangerous man.
