new poll is bad news for Lisa Murkowski’s hopes of keeping her Senate Seat.
The poll, conducted for Murkowski challenger Tshibaka’s campaign, has her in first place as first choice on the ballot with 45.4% of the vote compared to 28.7% for Murkowski.
Other poll findings:
Tshibaka leads Murkowski by 17% on the first-choice ballot
Tshibaka carries 84% of the Republican vote and leads with both men and women.
On the final ranked-choice results, Tshibaka prevails by 2%. Tshibaka trounces Murkowski with both Trump Republicans and Traditional Republicans.
A strong majority of undecided voters have an unfavorable opinion of Murkowski

This would be HUGH if Murkowski is bounced and the Trump candidate wins. You think the media/Dems are going after Trump now - this will signal is entry into the 2024 race for sure.
I read that Alaska has mail-in voting in the primaries. Does it matter what her poll numbers are if the fix is in?!

That’s the key point, and it’s a very close margin but good enough if it actually turns out that way 7 months from now. Do you know if this poll was taken before or after the Alaska Uniparty, which desperately wants Murkowski back in DC for 6 more years, convinced the token Democrat to drop out?
With Rigged Choice Voting I’m not sure that actually helps Murkowski at all (it’s designed to be confusing) but don’t ever discount the shenanigans of the Uniparty — this stuff isn’t confusing to THEM and they know exactly what they’re doing.

The primary — there is only one, for all parties — doesn’t matter a bit.
Rigged Choice Voting, as implemented in Alaska, mandates that the top 4 candidates regardless of party advance to the general election. Obviously there is zero chance that Murkowski doesn’t make the cut.

If Murk goes down in the primary, she’ll just run on a write-in ballot like she did vs Joe Miller. She’s wayyyy too entrenched to just walk away in defeat.
