You are correct about the old weapons..
I inspected the government labs before the Russian chemical weapons treaty..they were in disrepair, and one main storage was run by a Saudi..wth
We had an incident involving equipment used at Aberdeen proving ground years after the treaty, it was returned to.manufacturer for rebuild..
The lab tech working on it started choking and sweating, then vomit..
The ambulance folks were told of the incident, and would not work on Him, we called Aberdeen contacts and a while later a black chopper landed at the business site in the parking lot, two techs in lab suits came in and gave him a shot and retrieved the contaminated equioment, and left..our tech recovered.
We have a new pile of nasty bio and Chem weapons, as does Russia and china..
The Russians had tons and tons of both chem and bio weapons they manufactured during the Cold War in blatant violation of every treaty they ever signed.
Smallpox, anthrax, VX, Sarin, all in mind boggling quantities. When the Soviet Union fell most of the scientists involved simply locked up and walked away.

Sorry, I misunderstood your entry. But as for most people, enough of them voted for him to be able to boost him the rest of the way into the POTUS with some midnight auto raids. And with that vote they are entrusting him with their lives and those of their families. Thankfully the football is one of the things everyone in the know, those that did not vote for him, understand he can’t blunder into. My entry was aimed less at them than those that understand. Maybe a little education can help them in ‘24. Lord knows it was a disaster in ‘20.

Alexander Haig first accused the Russians of supplying T-2 (yellow rain) to Southeast Asia (Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos, etc.) How is this any different than the brush clearing chemical(s) called Agent Orange the US Government extensively used much earlier? More damage from that, IMO.
AFAIC, you’d have to prove that by actual use and not by YT videos of crisis actors like in Syria, Lebanon, etc. or by suspicion. Biden is grasping at anything he can; there were all sorts of caterwauling about Russia and the Chernobyl nuclear facilities and those fears - what’s happened with that?

Russia, like other countries to include us, has nuclear vessels and silos all over the world. So there are a lot of first response problems with trying to get enough to stop them before their launch. And less than two minutes isn’t a lot of time. (Sub launch) So with little luck in shooting one down, especially when a couple of thousand are coming at you, the ball game is already decided. And as long as the fear is a deterrent, the system works. If they no longer respect us, they will get stupid enough to try it. And Biden has helped that cause with losing that respect.
As for stand down, Russia does use a “dead hand” system of AI to launch. They’ve been using it for many years. We do not use “dead hand” but we work on a stand down arrangement that requires most of the prep to be computer generated. The silo rats are the final act and they are told to proceed until told to stand down. But if they are eliminated, the response ceases there if not past fail safe and will have to be picked up elsewhere.
An AI system was tested at Vandenberg and successfully launched an unarmed Minuteman III which re-entered and hit near the Marshall Islands about 4200 miles away. But the people calling the shots still don’t trust the computer completely. They still want the keys turned simultaneous.

And you can pooh-pooh the actors in Syria et al playing victim, but there are multiple videos. Same people, different locations. The most famous was a 'first responder.' Go look it up.
