Jeez, the mere thought that a major Red Chinese base could be built on Guadalcanal seems disrespectful to our WW2 patriots who fought and died there.
But are the Chinese going to wear masks and practice social distancing?….that’s the question…
20 times more US casualties in the Philippines than Guadalcanal and we let them give our bases the boot and their leader flirts off and on with China.
Ok, explain how Solomons making a deal with China is different than Ukraine making deals with NATO.

In the meantime they are making every excuse in the world to let NATO (our boys) land in Ukraine.

In other words a sovereign country having the right to call their own shot.

That’s exactly what the Solomons want to do.

One of the differences is that the Solomons don’t have nukes, never did have nukes, and aren’t invaded by the Chinese [yet] but we saved their asses when they were invaded by the Japanese.

Yup. That’s why I call it the emBASEee strategee. We never give up our own embassy soil, even when we leave the country. Embassy soil is considered sovereign soil.
