do not be deluded that Beau was a good guy.
Like all the Bidens, he was dishonest and terrible at his job.

He’s also a sundowner … a dementia sufferer who gets upset and angry towards the end of the day. Which it is in Poland right now.

His staff is already out, trying to walk back his comments on Putin has to be removed from power. I mean, they barely ever let him talk, and 75% of the time when he does, they immediately have to try and spin what he just said.

This is serious stuff... you can’t call for the removal of a crazy world leader like that. He’s going to get us all killed.

80 Million Americans need to have their voting rights removed forever.

That was Brandon speaking? I thought it sounded more like Brezhnev or Chernenko.

Thanks 🙂
But why do they have to go to Germany? Can’t Ukraine pilots fly them out of Poland therefore leaving us out of it?

I don’t think so, most Americans are ignorant of history, recent and back. If they were they would understand this crisis better.
So when the war is widened and Biden sends troops and resources there you will support that war?

Lindsey must be off his meds.

He is being increasingly irresponsible lately.

“That’s the way to get the Russian people to side with us….threaten their leader.”

Would you be offended if a foreign leader said “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”?

I was being sarcastic.

I think Biden’s statement alone is worthy of 25th amendment talk. Add in his other blunders on this trip and it’s an easy decision.

“We have to destroy Ukraine in order to save it. Biden is using Ukraine as surrogates to destroy Russia and remove Putin.”

“Biden constantly talks about the West being more unified than ever. That tells me there is real discord internally.”

“Only a month has elapsed in this war. Most of the sanctions against Russia don’t take place until June.”

“Unfortunately, we have been manipulated and let emotion dictate our response.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a few of your critical points and observations...not to mention the critical questions you ask.
Your post is a boiler plate for critical thinking and strategy going forward. Unfortunately, it can’t be reduced to a sound bite, an interview, or even one TV program.
Emotions and camera footage prevail.
Am I wrong in thinking your hope is that Europe will rein Biden in and offer reasonable negotiations with Putin and Zelensky to end this “never let a crisis go to waste”-war?
Instead of giving Ukraine more weapons, we should be urging Ukraine and Russia to agree to a ceasefire and begin serious negotiations to end the conflict. The longer it continues, the greater the loss of people and infrastructure. More than a quarter of the population has either been displaced internally or left as refugees. Many cities are not habitable.
The Ukrainians are not winning as some of the media pundits claim. Nor have they defined what winning looks like. The Russians are not leaving Crimea. And they will probably seek autonomy for the Donbas region, which has been at war with the Ukrainian government for 8 years.
IMO many European countries seek a rapid end to the war. They are being hurt economically by the war. And matters will only get worse as the costs of energy and food continue to climb. The sanctions on Russia cut both ways. Domestic political pressure will force European leaders to act and possibly cut separate deals with Russia. Despite Biden’s claim that EU/NATO have never been more united, there are cracks and fissures that are already visible. Food and energy will divide them further.
Biden let the cat out of the bag by mentioning publicly the real objective is regime change in Russia. The proxy war in Ukraine is being used to bleed Russia and hurt Putin. Ukrainians are just expendable surrogates. Zelensky will have to decide if wants his country to bear the sacrifices necessary to achieve this end.
” More than a quarter of the population has either been displaced internally or left as refugees.”
THAT is a stunning statistic!
“Biden let the cat out of the bag by mentioning publicly the real objective is regime change in Russia.”
I had the impression Biden had been telegraphing that in the last week or so and this Warsaw speech further impressed me the same way-—just not the ending “cat out of the bag” sound bite the WH was quick to walk back.
Several times in the speech Biden spoke to the Russians directly with the explicit intention to separate them from Putin.
Maybe I am mistaken about the above, but I was surprised everybody was shocked by his “cat out of the bag” sound bite. I even suspect it was “off-script.”
Back to your analysis.... I followed your thinking up to your last sentence: “Zelensky will have to decide if wants his country to bear the sacrifices necessary to achieve this end.”
“this end”-— which end?
For argument sake, let’s say Putin is willing to end this war with Crimea, Donbas (really, the past), and now the Mariupol land-bridge...and some language that the West won’t include Ukraine in NATO?
What beyond an end to the war do you think Zelensky hopes to achieve? BTW, agreeing with your statement: “The Ukrainians are not winning as some of the media pundits claim. Nor have they defined what winning looks like.”
Zelensky must know he will get zillions to rebuild Ukraine from the same corruptocrats that instigated (or more mildly, nudged) the war to begin with.
Lastly, if some peace deal can be struck between Zelensky and Putin-—and catastrophes averted-—I am having mental difficulties conceiving where that leaves USA.
Thanks for your reply. Please keep making more good sense and offering your analyses on FR.
We are in perilous times.
Whether Biden even remembers what he said is questionable, but let's assume for a moment that (most of the time) he doesn't intend to send in a hit squad to pop Putin. A president's words really do matter. Compare Trump's (whom the media caricatures as being a loose cannon) performance with the NK leader, and the resulting lowering of tension. Biden caused the opposite effect, (perhaps) including a Russian attack on a city near the Polish border, and certainly giving the Moscow propaganda machine a lot of material, plus making a ceasefire much more difficult.
The ramifications you touch on are valid. It’s truly evil what the Left puts the
rest of the nation through.
When Biden hears regime change talk behind closed doors, some of it no doubt is bravado that gets cheers in that setting, but when he repeats it (or says it as he remembers it) in public it can be dangerous.
