No difference. We have Posse Comitatus that precludes the military from being used, but that doesn’t (didn’t stop) Ukraine from acting in the same kind of way Xiden is - sanctions, other non-military enforcement (fiscal, etc.).

Zelensky has been to everybody and his brother trying to get his no-fly zone: from NATO, from Germany, from EU, from the Canadian Parliament, from the US Congress to ANYBODY. And we do the same thing Ukraine could have done for us here in a non-combatant manner.....
Fact is, the Ukrainian people as a whole have the domestic/political will to fight the Russians bitterly, and that's why they're fighting. We don't/didn't have the same for our own southern border, so we didn't.
But that's not the fault of the Ukrainians. That's our fault. We were perfectly capable as a nation of sealing that border if we wished. We just lacked the will.
