The Left is not desperate. They are arrogant in their current domination of the culture and every significant government and corporate institution of our society.
Such arrogance leads to willful blindness and unattended vulnerabilities. Those weaknesses are what we must exploit.
All things must pass.
The Leftist ideas are all based on deception and misdirection. They don't really need any new ideas as long as the old deceptions still work. Repackaging old deceptions in new wrappers still works reasonably well, though not as well as it once did.
A key vulnerability of the Leftists is that they wreck everything they control. That gets hard to conceal after a while. There is a small core group of winners, and a large majority of losers in the wreckage. People who feel dispossessed in the rubble can be motivated to turn against the Leftists.
Another related vulnerability is extremist factional conflict. Leftists will turn on each other with immoderate ferocity once they have suppressed their "right-wing" opponents. And everybody who dissents from the leadership core group is a "right-wing" opponent.
Very few people can override their childhood and teenaged years of indoctrination. Rational arguments do nothing to change their views. The experience of Reality does very little to change their views. But a relatively trivial perception during a period of extreme hardship can sometimes transform a person.
Watch for that moment. It is fleeting and does not repeat.
