Employees say Disney has become 'an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and religious views are not explicitly progressive'
A group of anonymous employees at The Walt Disney Company (TDWC) has spoken out in an open letter, warning the company not to take political stances that alienate some workers and parts of Disney's audience, and claiming that Disney has become "an increasingly uncomfortable place to work" for those who don't agree with "explicitly progressive" policies.
The employees heaped praise on Disney, noting that "our work contributes to a fountain of wonder that inspires joy, awe, and delight in guests and audiences of all ages." However, they warned that "over the last few years, one group of cast members has become invisible within the company."
"The Walt Disney Company has come to be an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and religious views are not explicitly progressive," the employees wrote. "We watch quietly as our beliefs come under attack from our own employer, and we frequently see those who share our opinions condemned as villains by our own leadership."
The employees noted Disney's "Reimagine Tomorrow" campaign to promote "underrepresented voices" and noted that "the tomorrow being reimagined doesn’t seem to have much room for religious or political conservatives within the company. Left-leaning cast members are free to promote their agenda and organize on company time using company resources. They call their fellow employees ‘bigots’ and pressure TWDC to use corporate influence to further their left-wing legislative goals."

This is true of the entire entertainment industry in general.
As well as academia, most of the government, the publishing business, the news business, etc.
The further you get from the real world (dirt, weather, getting wet, getting attacked by bugs, etc.) the more institutions tend to drift off into a la-la land virtual reality bubble world.
Is this part of a larger issue, where so many big companies are spewing so much publicity, and money donations, to leftist causes so they can show that they are liberal?
I’m frustrated about the money angle, with news of misappropriation of money by Black Lives Matter. Those companies couldn’t move fast enough to shove fistfuls of money at Black Lives Matter, and then we find out that the avowed Marxists who run that organization have “accounting” issues.
To me, that’s a lesson to all, to some some due diligence about charitable donations.

I miss the old rapacious money hungry apolitical Disney under Eisner.
Noticed in the back page news that the Broward County Sheriff’s Office has arrested four of Mickey’s finest employees for “trafficking”. That would really make me want to take my children or grandchildren (if I had either) for the Disney entertainment experience. Heck, I’d be leery of taking my beloved pets there.

The problem is that you could say this about virtually every major businesss and institution in the US.
It'll be easy to spot them, most will be sporting some sort of rainbow cape along with way too tight t-shirts and/or stretch pants and have pastel hair colors, with one side shaved. The "men" will be wearing makeup of some sort. Also, and this is important, none of them will be doing any actual work...probably since December of 2016...
They'll also have a permanent scowl beneath their lifeless eyes as they scream about tolerance.
Sadly, Disney is not what it purports to be.....It is a veritable wolf in sheep’s clothing and the disguise has come off.
Disney has just loudly proclaimed that its number one interest is grooming our kids, sexually.
Any employees that choose to remain with the company, are quite likely to be deemed ‘Bidophiles’ from now on.

I took my three boys to Disneyland in the 80s on our way to Alaska. I would not take them there today. Disneyland is the new home of sexual deviancy in America.
