Germany has more coal reserves than Ukraine.

Germany and Poland have considerable reserves, but then it is a long way down to Czech Republic and Hungary as the next EU countries.
I don’t think that Germany and Poland have a 400 year supply at production rates that would replace gas and crude oil energy for the whole EU.
Note that one-time coal powerhouse UK is way down the list. Besides which their North Sea oil and gas is running out. Coincidently, the UK is one of the most vocal about greenhouse gases, having used up all theirs.
