Cant do this can’t do that ... cuz... aquifer ... but an underground tube for EVs is OK? What happens when one of those puppies catches fire which they are prone to do.

It’s not clear what incentives the Boring Co. will require to seal the deal.
There is more to it than money in negotiation.

The Canal Walk is the septic sewer for San Antonio and he wants to dig a tunnel underneath it?
I bet he will be the Ultimate Over Lord of Mars before that happens.

If trains aren’t economical to run in your tunnel, then neither are “automated Teslas”. I submit that the whole proposal isn’t economically viable.

Better plan on a horse, mule. or oxen pair. You know, the old choices for a sports car, family SUV, or pickup truck.
NEVER a donkey! A Democrat will never work, never pull her own weight, and can’t decide what sex it is.

Just say no and demand Musk’s companies make their own money. Do you have personal knowledge of this, or just repeating something you read on the web?

Trains leave from Gatwick Airport to Victoria Station every 15 minutes and I’d bet that would be a hell of a lot cheaper than a tunnel. Not as sexy though I guess.

Why not, the cartels do it.
Although, I think it's cheaper to build a tunnel that isn't underground.
I've gotta go, I need to get to the store and head for the ready to drink beverage aisle. A lot of 'em come that way now.

Here in the DC area, the Metro commission no longer puts out a projected completion date for the train line to Dulles. It was supposed to open about 4 years ago, and just recently they said late spring of this year. That forecast was deleted, and the late summer opening is just a rumor. It’s becoming Newsom’s high-speed rail project of the East.
