Marie Yovanovitch says Putin didn't need to invade Ukraine while Trump was president because he 'could just sit back and let the good times roll' with Trump

Marie Yovanovitch told Insider in an interview that Russian President Vladimir Putin didn't need to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine when Donald Trump was president because Trump was giving Putin everything he wanted.

With Trump, Yovanovitch said, Putin "could just sit back and let the good times roll."

Yovanovitch, Trump's former ambassador to Ukraine, said the former president showed "strong, clear admiration" for Putin and other strongmen, disparaged US allies, and had longstanding "negative" views on NATO and other global alliances.

The same Marie Yovanovitch who lied under oath during the impeachment hearings when she claimed she had no knowledge of Burisma Holdings, or Hunter Biden's lucrative position on the Board. She stated she'd only heard about it in media reports. But documents obtained from journalist John Solomon, clearly show she was involved in discussions regarding Burisma, and even attended a meeting with representatives of the company, contradicting her testimony before Congress.

"According to Solomon, the unearthed emails show the ambassador and her staff were engaged in discussions and meetings with Burisma as the energy company scrambled to settle a corruption investigation before the inauguration of President Trump."

Yovanovitch, Trump's former ambassador to Ukraine,...

Actually this FPOS was appointed by Obummer, and Trump failed to replace this lying sack.

Like when Trump killed 200 Russian mercenaries in Syria in 2018?

That kind of sit back?

Does Business Insider ever have articles about Business? Or is it always anti-Trump all the time?

The collapse of oil prices actually happened in 2014, in part because of the US surge in production, which Trump accelerated, but this preceded Trump.

These people are idiots. They think toughness is defined in the names you use when you describe him. If you’re not calling him a murderer you’re not tough. Funny enough when Trump was calling Kim names they were afraid of ww3. Seems like Trump just has an understanding of people that non of thr experts have ever been able to figure out. Trump had world peace in sight in a few short years. Suddenly everyone is talking about ww3 again. The leaders that currently exist are dumb and or evil

She correct in a way. With Biden everyone needs to fight over resources. With Trump everyone had plenty.

Trump jawboned NATO into spending over $100 billion more for defense.

Trump sold Ukraine the javelin anti tank missiles they had wanted after Obama refused to.

Trump went full speed ahead on fracking which significantly lowered the price of oil and gas.

Trump re-equipped the US military after Obama’s procurement holiday.

Trump had a couple hundred Russian Wagner mercs killed when they tried to take over an oil field in Syria held by US forces.

I’m sure Putin was absolutely thrilled with all of the above.

Trump took out the Russian mercenaries in Syria after giving Putin 3 warnings.

Biden showed the world he was a weak, totally incompetent fool in his handling of Afghanistan.

Marie, you’re either an idiot or a lying sack of s*it.

I vote both.

Unfortunately, this woman is a reflection of the culture we have in the U.S. and Biden has a lot of these women running his administration.

There’s no negotiation, it’s all cancel-culture and name-calling.
