OK, first, remember to include the link this time! LOL.
Artur Rehi is a former Estonian soldier, and has a mild case of an extreme dislike of Putin and the Russian military.
Points:
- The damage to the Alligator class landing ship in Berdyans'k limits Russian naval operations since there is now only one available, as Turkey has closed the Bosporus Strait.
- The U.S. is going to give Ukraine some S-300s that the U.S. just happened to have lying around (Does the U.S. have any spare T-72s?).
- Sanctions have shut down Russian tank production in their largest factory. The Russian arms industry relies on foreign parts. The shortage means no ball bearings, no microchips, no production and no repairs.
- In the two battle are in the east and north east Ukraine, the situation is unclear what is going on.
- Russia has lost a unknown number of land based, army electronic warfare vehicles. These are expensive and can not be easily replaced due to sanctions.
- Mines are slowing the Russian advance. Even if they are in plain sight, they have to be cleared, giving time for Ukraine to launch some counter action.
- Russian forces are digging in around Kyiv, including tanks and armored vehicles. That means they are going on the defensive, not offensive.
- Mariupol is likely lost.
- Pre-invasion exercises show the Russian army has poor, morale, discipline, training and corruption. This is the army that invade Ukraine.
- Russian forces have been seen using unencrypted Chinese radios. They can't afford proper military communications for the infantry.
- Ukraine captured a Krasukha-4 EW system. This is their newest and most capable system.
I think he makes some technical errors, however these have no meaning to the overall picture.
Russia is digging in for a long siege around Kyiv, which means, they aren't winning anymore.
This "short war" is over.
P.S.
Just how does Russia let Ukraine capture one of their newest, most expensive, and least available EW system on the battlefield?

That is (or was) a HUGE supply ship...
If the Ukes could have gotten the intel a couple of days earlier, that strike would have removed another dozen tanks/armored vehicles and tons of ammo...

Mines are slowing the Russian advance. Even if they are in plain sight, they have to be cleared, giving time for Ukraine to launch some counter action. They should mass produce cheap fake mines. Salt in a real one for every ten fakes.

I've been thinking he same thing since the news broke about the sinking of the ship.
ST6 written all over the mission.
But, let's not let Putin know.

They should mass produce cheap fake mines. Salt in a real one for every ten fakes. During the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia the residents of Prague place upside down dinner plates on the roads to fool them. Surprisingly it worked.

197th Assault Ship Brigade Landing Ships, (6 ships remain available)
Alligator class is an old class. The Black Sea fleet includes Saratov and the Nikolay Filchenkov in that class
There are Ropucha-II class: Azov; Ropucha-I class: Novocherkassk, Caesar Kunikov, and Yamal

Only the Command and Control part in unknown condition. The Radar and jamming sections are separate and were not found.
This guy’s reports are full of holes; he should have done a better job.

The Russian people will not rise up against Putin. The Russian people are on the wrong side of the barrels of the guns.

No, it can end when they decide to negotiate. The people rising up, extremely unlikely. Putin, like Trump is a strong leader and does what he says.

Thxs for the link...
My comment was only to offset the use of the term “barge” in the report...🙂

You probably didn’t watch Vlads war rally. I was years ago in that stadium, it holds 200,000. So far, much like the western war cheerleader propaganda - they have the same, but far more effective. A majority love Putin like we love Trump.

RE #13: I give a C- on the details and a C+/B- on the big picture. I knew when watching this the first time he made mistakes. While the details are off in a few places, the overall picture is largely correct. The longer Russia does not win, the more time Ukraine has to turn the invasion around.

See the War Zone story to that effect.
