Biden asks Dr. Oz to resign

"If President Biden wants to politicize health, he will have to fire me. You would think record gas prices, a 40-year inflation high, and the situation in Ukraine would be his highest priorities at the moment.

With that said, I am beyond grateful to President Trump for appointing me to this very prestigious & important position. I am also grateful to my colleagues on the committee & proud of everything we were able to achieve. However, I have no intention of resigning.

I received this letter on behalf of @POTUS requesting I resign from the President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. It’s sad that he would politicize such an important issue like health. The doctor he should ask to resign is Dr. Fauci, for a multitude of obvious reasons.

Clearly, Joe Biden can’t be around anyone who doesn’t completely fall in line with his fear-mongering authoritarian one-size-fits-all COVID handling. I am proud of my service and will not resign."

Deep State’s front men are idiots.

Not Deep State.

Yesterday, Sean Hannity took time off from promoting war, so he could have Dr. Oz on his show. Even though he belongs to Opra, he sounded like an un-owned person and was impressive on every problem they talked about. Good luck deciding PA!

We have just been through several years of the government politicizing health, what does he think he’s involved in by working for the Biden administration? Now no one I know trusts either doctors or the government on anything, thanks to the COVID-19 crap. This is destabilizing but perhaps a good thing in the long run.

Dr Oz was on the Clay and Buck show last week and was very impressive. He is the real deal. I hope he wins.

I don’t love him since he sold himself out for TV show ratings. He has always seemed more of a liberal/democrat. That being said, he appears to be putting his foot down now at the ridiculous extremism and many things Covid and for that I am grateful and I hope he continues to fight back. Gives me hope.

I’m not a fan of the Jeopardy game show, but Dr Oz did a great job as substitute host after the Canadian’s passing.

He was on Jeopardy for a week or so, way back. Could be he was bumped for a return after the snafu Jeopardy had after the supposed permanent Trebek replacement came out as a wife/girlfriend assaulter. Don’t remember the details.

Is the Council on Fitness etc. a paid position, or is it a citizens’ advisory council? Does that matter with regard to the Hatch Act (or any other law)? I would have thought if it did, the letter would have cited the law which it does not.

He’d have to look right to see Romney. But you didn’t even mention the worst thing about him. He’s a quack and a shyster.

It's a part of HHS but people like Oz serve as volunteers. He should stop whining and step away. Either that or drop his Senate run.

Some of those type of commissions are supposed to be bi-partisan. Every president, even at the end of his term in office, gets to appoint several people to fill vacancies. Republicans usually leave Democrats in place because that's how it's supposed to be done. Democrats try to get rid of all Republicans because that's how petty and vindictive they are. Rules are for others, not them.

I am glad he is sticking to his guns here. Ha ha what a distraction while Biden is out there selling oil and weapons to the EU (from where? Don’t ask questions of the Big Guy!)
