How true that is - and don’t we all wish that!

“Whatever a person may think about Trump, he almost certainly would have been able to broker a peace deal to end the conflict.”

I agree. TRUMP in 2024.

Whatever a person may think about Trump, he almost certainly would have been able to broker a peace deal to end the conflict.

If Mr.Trump was still at the helm, it would be much less likely that there would have been a war. Mr. Putin would not have been as sure of our response and that would have played into his decision.

With Mr. Biden in office, Mr.Putin could attack knowing that the U.S. administration would dither. Mr. Biden’s weakness in Afghanistan created the opportunity that Mr. Putin could leverage.

Thankfully Reagan didn’t agree with that when it came to containing Russian aggression or else we’d still be in the cold war.

He’s got a point

Sure he does, but pretending Russia is acting as a "responsible superpower" is ridiculous. How about Russia act responsibly and not be a refuge for murderous wannabe Soviet Czars. It's like your wife complaining about your $200/mo spent playing poker with the boys when she spends $2000/ on shoes.

No we can’t. If you call what has been going on in America is “taking care of ours”, you have to be deaf, dumb, and blind.

I am not sure why you, or anyone thinks Trump would’ve. He kept the same old, same old in Syria, and added a, “ We’ll take the oil. We’ll take the oil.”

And don’t get me started on the calling for a cease fire to protect Jihadi Central, Idlib.
