Ukraine is believed to be running out of weapons as it continues to hold off Russian forces, amid warnings some countries have failed to send promised aid.
Western nations have thrown their support behind the war-torn nation following Vladimir Putin's invasion on 24 February.
According to The Times, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has told Boris Johnson that his country was getting through a week's supply of weapons in just 20 hours as the Russian attack and constant shelling comes on multiple fronts.
But while many countries have promised weapons to help bolster the Ukrainian arsenal, some have not kept up the supply.
Paul Grod, president of the Ukrainian World Congress, told the newspaper that some nations – including Germany and France – had not delivered promised arms.
Following the reports, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that further supplies of Strela missiles were on the way to Ukraine following delays.
"I can clearly say that further Strela deliveries are on the way," Baerbock told the Bundestag lower house of parliament.
"We are one of the biggest weapons suppliers in this situation, it doesn't make us proud but it's what we must do to help Ukraine," she added.
According to The Times, Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba has said the military only has a fortnight of anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles left.
Some countries have sent extra weapons in previous days, which he said has only “partially improved” the situation.
Ukrainian troops are also said to have resorted to using captured Russian “trophies”, such as vehicles and other equipment, to boost its own supplies and use against the invading force.
On 9 March, British defence secretary Ben Wallace told the House of Commons that the UK had delivered 3,615 anti-tank (NLAW) weapons and would soon supply a “small consignment” of Javelin

Not comparable situations.
I'd point out that acceptance of Vlad's demands wouldn't change anything internally in Ukraine, including all the NWO/Great Reset/Schwab/Soros stuff. The idea that Putin is some kind of anti-NWO white knight is ludicrous. He doesn't care about what western nations do internally.
Yeah, a lot of the shots are not Javelins. And... defenders can’t take the chance a tank rendered immobile MIGHT still be able to fire back. Some vids have shown just that. (Tanks hit but then firing back.)
That vid the other day where the tank was stopped by a hit, and then a Russian crawling out got nearly put into orbit* by a follow-up shot that detonated ammo in the tank... That was not murder by the Ukes, it was self preservation. They don’t have time to be kinder and gentler and figure out how disabled the tank is, if it doesn’t blow big time...
*Ok, slight exaggeration. Somebody calculated 300 ft., altitude achieved. And on fire. Hell of a way to depart. Dude probably “felt it” a second or less. I should be so lucky when my time comes.
But back on topic, how many small teams, say 3 guys with an NLAW, starting from the time they begin their mission, actually make a solid target acquisition of a *significant vehicle* and fire? Lots of things to go wrong (including getting hit first), malfunction, anti-tank weapons get used against many non-vehicle targets too, etc. 30%, maybe?
Lot easier when you know people there. Ukraine is losing badly. It’s pure lies coming out of Ukraine. One other vet I know went there with misguided intentions, and said he wasn’t ready for being treated like that and losing so many. He managed to flee back to Poland.
The biggest shock for me is seeing how many Americans support Ukraine given all the vermin who do too.
Like THE Ukraine is a United State??? Get outta here!
“Not comparable situations.”
Well, we had no defense pact with Britain back then, so we were not obligated to do anything. Same thing with Ukraine: We have no legal obligation to do anything for Ukraine. Don’t get me wrong: I’m glad we are arming Ukraine.
In WWII, at least up until December 7, 1941, the US was a declared neutral (though, of course, prior to that we happily cheered on Britain, and made some arms deals that benefitted us economically and strategically).
So, the comparison is still valid, but not without equivocation.
Out of all weapons? Including tactical and strategic nukes? I highly doubt it.
I expect the mass media to lie twenty four seven.
The greatest disappointment of this “episode” has been all the Freepers who fell for the lies—and the warmongering of the Republican Party.
This is mass hysteria—totally insane.
What Americans do not understand is that the “evil enemy” Russia cares enough about its civilian population to have a modernized and well stocked civil defense system—while the US and European attitude towards its civilians is “let them eat cake”.
We are truly on our own.
It’s not the tractor. It’s the two guys with a Javelin beyond that rise...
Arming Ukraine risks us being nuked. It’s silly considering most have no idea why there is a war in the first place.
If we’d properly acted on the intel, all that weaponry would have been ready to go the minute Russian military crossed the border. The Biden Admin. is hopelessly incompetent, on top of the usual bureaucratic morass.
BTW, part of “all that weaponry” seems ludicrous itself. The anti aircraft and anti-tank quantities are pretty good, but what’s with the “5,000 rifles, 1,000 pistols, 400 machine guns, and 400 shotguns”? Freaking drop in the bucket: If the Ukes are arming their male fighting age citizens, those numbers are about 0.1% of what’s needed.
If all of Europe have few weapons to spare, turns out Russia could conquer it easily.
Yep... cue that meme with the comparative photos of the Secretaries of Defense.
A war is going on why do people make childish “homo” remarks? Are you in high school.
Lots of “homos” could kick your ass.
because Zalenski is a corrupt scumbag and it is true that he has done homo-erotic entertainment. You sure seem to know a lot about high school homos. Were you picked on a lot?
Ukraine should make it clear that it will pay a lot for the defensive weaponry that it needs.
Payment plans can be structured to allow for expedient delivery of that defensive weaponry while still ensuring that it will be paid for.
For one thing, the Ukes have LOTS of natural resources. Which is indeed part of what Pooty is really after. (Russia doesn’t really “need” most of them, they just want control of them.)
It is pretty interesting to see these Putinistas get more and more hysterical as Putin has to resort to greater and greater evil to accomplish his aims in Ukraine and beyond.
Aren’t the rears and tops of tanks and APCs not armored and heavily as the front, sides?
I can take a crack at that. Javelins attack from above, which is why they are so effective, but, many other anti-tank systems are not that sophisticated: In the vids you see them coming in pretty much horizontal, usually from the side.
If the tank has passed you, you are probably dead.
Now I have a question for our arms experts: If a typical NLAW hits a tank with reactive armor from the side, typically how big an area of reactive armor blows off?
