I might consider Maldives.
I probably better keep that list handy. You know.....just in case.
Thanks, I need to keep a copy of that handy.
Neither Biden nor post-midterm Congress can extradite him. I wonder if defense attorneys for the Jan 6th martyrs can travel and dispose him there would it be admissible. Or whether he’d be willing to so testify.
Some nice places there. The trouble is in being granted residence.
Taiwan is a nice place.
I’d also suggest you consider:
Georgia (365 day visa on arrival)
Parts of Indonesia are nice (I have friends there)
Vietnam has become an expat have because of low prices, friendly people, and great beaches
I see Belarus has huge tracts of land…
There are quite a few spots there that can be very good if you have money. Indonesia, Georgia, Armenia among others seem to have American expats.
Belarus or Chicago, Minneapolis or Memphis? I will take Belarus.
Try “Bald and Bankrupt” videos. He has been all over Belarus and Ukraine and Russia, for years. And many other places too.
His frequent companion on his videos, Alina, is Belorussian.
If you want to see the real Ukraine prewar, he has the best stuff. Even on the border by the Donetsk republics.
Yes. You get 100 acres and a wife! 😁
I watched several of that guys videos, but not so much in the last year or more.
I love his insights and off the wall excursions. He is a lot of fun to watch.
Taiwan is a surprise. The rest, not so much.
On that list, I’ve been to Angola, China, Congo, Indonesia, Lebanon, Oman, Taiwan, Tunisia, UAE, and Yemen. Angola is the only one I never want to go back to.
US authorities couldn’t even get Americans held against their will in Iran, how the heck are they going to get anyone from Belarus?
Isn’t that, about most of the world? 😀
Unfortunately, the Philippines is not there. 🤗
If I had a lot of money, the UAE would be nice. Though Muslim, they are very tolerant.
Laos would be ok if I had a Laotian wife. Property and right-to-stay rights are difficult otherwise. Vientiane and Savannakhet are both pretty modern and things are dirt cheap there. I’d have to lose the American passport if I went into the hill areas near Vietnam, as they are still cleaning up bombs from us.
Vietnam is very popular, pretty modern, and unfortunately more expensive these days because of popularity.
But both Laos and Vietnam are communist countries, so both are non-starters.
Indonesia would also be ok. Muslim, but area with large Christian, Hindu, and Buddhist concentrations.
Maldives and Samoa are tiny islands. Not an option for me.
I enjoy Bald & Bankrupt but prefer Harald Baldr.
