So you’re saying we deserve to get nuked and destroyed now? You said ‘us’ which indicates you are an American. That kinda talk should probably be considered open treason.

“Why is this breaking news?”

It may be breaking news because too many people in the US, and other countries, are so “gung ho” to tangle with this nut that it needs to be repeated. A nuclear war is a no win for the whole world. Everybody dies in the initial blast, of radiation poisoning, or starvation and dehydration within a few months. And there are not enough mop kits, masks or tape to seal the suits and keep enough people alive to survive. It would be stupid to invite this.

On the plus side most of the southern hemisphere is unlikely to get hit, so sub-Saharan Africans and South Americans woul probably be the longest lasted.

Existential is a word tossed around a lot these days.

How would beating the Russians out of Ukraine be existential to Russia? It would not threaten the existence of Russia.

Unless they mean internally. But Putin has cooked that goose already.

Nukes are to defend against actions that are a clear and imminent threat to the continued existence of a people and its country.

Putin has ZERO moral authority to use nukes because he ‘feels’ there exists an existential threat. Especially a threat that would not result in the annihilation of Russia, its people and existence... but would only interfere with his agenda. That’s not good enough to justify nukes just because someone else spoils your plans! There has to exist a clear imminent danger that threatens the continuation or existence of the Russian state and its people.

Dmitry Peskov peddles fear, not reality.

I wish no country had any nukes. But they do. If you have them, they alone are a deterrant. That said, there would be no reason to have them if you rule out using them. I don’t believe America ever rules out using them. They wouldn’t be a deterrant I we did.

I can’t understand why this question is always asked because the same answer will come from any country asked.

I predicted this back in January when he started moving equipment to the border. If we get involved, Russia will nuke us.

***So then it’s okay if the Ukes use Nukes on the Rukes in their “existential” war. After all, we did.

If only we had stopped selling oil to Japan. Togo would had to have called off his invasion of China.

The war with Japan was all about oil. Same applies to Russia now. It's all about resources, and who controls them. (I think young people don't understand history, which your post does reflect history and what can happen.)

Nuking our border would be one way to stop illegal immigration.

“So you’re saying we deserve to get nuked and destroyed now? “

__________

Lindsey Graham is that you?

I never said the USA deserves it, but the Deep State will leave them with a choice and Russia will refuse to join their enemy and choose to destroy them instead. At least they died with their boots on. That more than we’ll be able to say. We’re colluding.

Why? Neither Belarus nor Ukraine is in NATO.

This is well-known Russian/USSR nuke doctrine.

Basically it is based on the concept that a world without a strong Russia is a world not worth having.

I would like to know the likelihood or ability of Russia’s nuke corps to follow through with an attack directive.

Exactly true. We forced Japan’s hand which began their expansion into South-East Asia. And so began a 4 year campaign to push them back. And that resulted in us nuking Japan and killing thousands of civilians instantly and another million over time due to the radiation.

NATO has woken up to the threat that Russia poses to them.

And unlike Ukraine being invaded by Russia. Belarusians would see NATO as liberators as evidenced by last years protests against their government.
