Russian troops are retreating and deserting and have been repelled from strategic Kyiv suburb which could stop Putin's forces from surrounding the capital, Ukraine claims

Russian troops are retreating after being repelled from a strategic Kyiv suburb, Ukraine has claimed, in a move which could stop Vladimir Putin's forces from surrounding the capital.

Ukraine’s armed forces said Moscow has lost its 'offensive potential' and reinforcements were being called in from the 'depths' of Russia to help them capture Makariv, a city located 37 miles from Kyiv.

Ukrainian forces have been fighting back in Makariv in order to prevent Russian forces from surrounding the capital.

The armed forces claimed the 'heroic actions of our defenders' have forced Russian troops back while a counterattack in the south has pushed Putin's forces in the direction of Mykolayiv, a city near the Black Sea.

In an update issued today, Ukraine's armed forces said: 'Having lost the offensive potential, the Russian occupying troops continue forming and deploying the reserves from the depths of the Russian Federation to the borders of Ukraine.'

Elsewhere, the Ukrainian think tank, The Centre for Defence Strategies claimed that Russian troops in the Okhtyrka region of Sumy 'left the area of operations' in order to 'choose desertion to avoid death' and in Havronshchyna, in the Makariv district, that Russians had stolen cars to drive towards the border with Belarus.

It comes after Kyiv's generals today claimed Vladimir Putin's troops only have enough food, fuel and ammunition for another three days of fighting in Ukraine, while attacks on the besieged city of Mariupol were turned back and offensives elsewhere in the country remained stalled.

Meanwhile British intelligence said attempts by Moscow to capture the southern city of Mariupol - seen as a key target for Putin to be able to claim any semblance of success in his 'special military operation' - 'continue to be repulsed' amidst heavy fighting.

Daily Mail…blah, blah, blah propaganda.
——————
I’m careful about every source anymore but I don’t just disregard Daily Mail out of hand. They OFTEN scoop our media on corruption in this country. They were a key part of what Hillary called the Communication Channels of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Once Fox News and The New York Times picked up what the Brits were saying, the rest of US media were forced to acknowledge it. Today, NYT is more resistant so it takes longer to break stories in our media once Daily News gets the scoop.

“Russia may not have enough troops in Ukraine to win.”

There is thee main false pretense in western thinking.

They did not enter to WIN, they entered to punish.

And the Chechen war? They simply blew to living hell out of everything and then settled. And now the Chechens are fighting for the Russians.

I fully expect this to escalate beyond any chance of a negotiated deal. The Ukrainian leader needs to settle before whats left of his country becomes nothing but a destroyed ruin.

You no doubt noticed like myself that whenever the warring parties start attempts at negotiations, the fearless leader in this country gets up and stirs the pot more.

Putin is a snake, Zelensky is a poodle, and Biden is a pig faced bastard who wants this to continue...as well as a puppet.

They want war..any war of any type (nuclear is fine it seems) and the propaganda (in this country) reflects that.

I am not the one constantly posting Ukrainian propaganda on FR (several posts per hour every day).
He is.
I merely challenge his more
outrageous and ridiculous propaganda pieces.

If you’ve watched the day-by-day the Russians have been stalled since the initial advance. They were spreading that they would take Kiev a week ago Sunday but have gained no ground there.

What they have done is force their way into Mariupol. It hasn’t fallen, but the Ukes haven’t been able to relieve them. If they can’t find a way to get them help, they look to be doomed. Ukraine doesn’t seem to have anything that can hit the ships offshore that are shelling the city.

If that city falls, or when it falls, Russia will control a swathe of territory connecting Crimea with Russia. They may be able at that point to declare victory. Then it’s up to Ukraine to keep fighting or give up. They are doing well in the rest of the country but Mariupol is crucial. And they seem to have no chance of breaking the siege.

“From what I know everything is under Russian control West of Kiev.”

Well, tovarishch, Kiev is on the west bank of the Dnieper, a bit west of the center of the country. So, you’re saying that Russia controls everything west of that point, or up to the Polish border. That would include Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsc, etc. You’re full of sh!t. Do you just make stuff up or are you just regurgitating the talking points of your Russian handlers?

“I obviously mean the proximity of the city, not all the way to Atlantic.”

Then why didn’t you just say that? I get it that English is not your native language, and that you may have some difficulty going from the Cyrillic Alphabet to the Latin Alphabet, but that does not excuse your obtuseness.

The Daily Mail has done good work.
People complain about blacking out the Hunter Biden laptop story.
The DM was on it immediately at the time in 2020 before the election, repeating the NY Post on their front page, with the drugged out Hunter Biden pics and such. This is something the WSJ did not do.
