My friend from Kiev is in Poland. She said that to get the aid for refugees you have to give up your passport to get the refugee ID card. You also have to live in one of the areas designated for refugees and you can’t work.
So far she is self sufficient and says she will continue to “travel” around Europe to avoid the “refugee” status.
At the same time she has talked about how wonderful the Polish people have been and is thankful to be there.
By all accounts the Poles have done a remarkable job.
Isn’t that special. I betcha the Ukrainians would rather build their lives in the Ukraine. Just sayin’...
