After eight years of driving for Uber with a perfect 5-star rating, Richard Martin is considering changing gears — not because he dislikes the work, but because California’s soaring gas prices are making his career unsustainable.
“I moved to San Diego from the Los Angeles area a little over eight years ago, and I thought I would do this for a couple of months,” Martin, 60, told The Hill. “I left the other day, and I couldn't believe that I had over 12,500 rides.”

That headline is the saddest thing I’ve read in years. I am on the verge of tears for Californians.
Mr. DOMINION Is
Responsible for
Our Current situation.

Blame where Blame is Due!
$10 Gas,
That’s the Ticket!
It’s not to late to escape. To Georgia or Virginia. Stay out of Florida. It’s a horrible place nd the governor sucks /s
How much $$ does it cost to fill up their Whaaaaaambulance?
NO....Texas is MUCH worse, than FL!!!
Please, escaping Californians....do yourself a favor and either stop in NM, or continue on, PAST Texas.
Texas is FULL....go directly to Louisiana!
😂
Exactly. I am glad we have high prices here. Elections have consequences. If people don’t get that then more pain is needed.
Despite a $37 billion surplus the Democrat supermajority in Sacramento refuses to reduce taxes, instead preferring to send more money to teachers unions.
Unfortunately, all that won't buy a half eaten tuna sandwich and it's only due to the fact it has a huge population. More unfortunately the leftist outnumber the rest in CA probably 3 to 1. They run all the unions, all the universities, all the public schools, and they totally own/run the media and politics in CA.
Look, I get it. I lived in NY for 65 years and certainly know it’s the same there.
However, with 55 electoral votes, it is a huge factor in swinging an election, and considering the areas these people who were interviewed for this article live, it’s likely they did vote for it.
The election fraud would not have been successful if enough people didn’t also vote that way.
And again, the article makes it sound like only Californians are dealing with this, and they are not.
Personally, I suspect not.
I think it was just more vote fraud.
They deserve it. “Leading da way” in ‘merica can be tough.
When they get the ball rolling on EV they can kiss air conditioning goodbye. They have brownouts without a million EV chargers running every day.
There were constant DJT rallies in Los Angeles, Malibu, Hollywood, Stockton, San Diego, and other areas of California. There is no way that California voted for what is in that CNN results table. Biden is loathed and despised even in California. People showed up to vote and were told they had “already” voted. My daughter showed up to vote and they tried to get her to leave her ballot in a tray because the machines weren’t working right. She told them “no way” was she trusting them. Illegals were voting, homeless, etc. Sorry, I’m not buying the Biden 2 to 1 against DJT in CA.
Californians need to go NORTH to Oregon and Washington...Arizona is FULL-do not come here!
A friend of mine is an engineer for Union Pacific railroad. He saw Trump banners all over the state of California on the railroad bridges. No Biden banners.
And Texas has massive vote fraud, as you said. The Texas vote fraud waves are lapping closer.
“Unfortunately, all that won’t buy a half eaten tuna sandwich and it’s only due to the fact it has a huge population.”
But it will buy a fully eaten tuna sandwich the next day.
Yes. That’s for sure. Texas didn’t count 15,000 ballots at least. The leaders said, “oops.” What crap.
Indeed. I believe everything you wrote, and see you as one of the Wolverines surrounded by communists a la 1984’s amazing film, “Red Dawn.”
God Bless and Godspeed to all of our brave Patriots in Communist-occupied California. While you are behind enemy lines, I pray for you all.
Gruesome Newsom makes Satan look like a Cub Scout by comparison.
His evil policies will continue to strangle and destroy California.
