Federal prosecutors have indicted an Oregon man for allegedly running the state's largest "ghost gun" manufacturing workshop, a case authorities say highlights how the homemade firearms can fuel crime.
A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted Tyler Ray Harnden on charges he allegedly provided fentanyl-laced counterfeit oxycodone pills to people with substance abuse disorders in exchange for making illegal straw purchases of firearms.
The charges stem from a raid on Harnden's Salem residence in February. There, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and local police found dozens of homemade firearm components, three drill presses and other manufacturing equipment.
Authorities allege Harnden was running a ghost gun outfit, in part of a larger problem of DIY weapons increasingly being used by criminal organizations and right-wing extremists to evade firearm laws. In response to their proliferation at crime scenes, federal authorities are now seeking to close a loophole used to manufacture ghost guns.

Hmmmm. Former felon. Gee, I wonder if this whole op isn’t a false flag operation by a Federal agency? They’ve been after ghost guns as a narrative for a while now and have been working on legislation.
Sure is convenient they made this bust right now.
Nah, a Federal agency wouldn’t do something like that. They’re all as pure as the wind driven snow.

So which is it, was he taking unfinished receivers and parts kits and churning out “ghost guns”, or was he making straw purchases of actual firearms?

To make their arguments, the gun grabbers have to cast drug dealers and illegal gun runners in with honest businessmen and gun owners. I have said it before; it’s more about political dissent than public safety. They want to punish nonconforming thought more than gun ownership, and firearms aren’t the only thing we disagree about.

" he allegedly provided fentanyl-laced counterfeit oxycodone pills to people with substance abuse disorders in exchange for making illegal straw purchases of firearms"
That makes him a drug dealer with a side business in illegal firearms.
