The GOP's Friday night U.S. Senate candidate forum in Ohio featured a face-off between candidates Mike Gibbons and Josh Mandel that nearly brought them to blows.
The argument between the two erupted after Mandel claimed Gibbons had "made millions" from business dealings with Chinese companies.
"You may not understand this," Gibbons told Mandel, who then stood up from his seat and confronted Gibbons at the event hosted by FreedomWorks.
"I do," Mandel replied.
"You have never … you have never been in the private sector in your entire life," Gibbons told Mandel.
"Two tours in Iraq. Don’t tell me I haven’t worked," Mandel responded, raising his voice to Gibbons.
A moderator approached the two men and attempted to defuse the situation. As Mandel was taking his seat, Gibbons said, "You don't know squat," prompting Mandel to rise from his seat again. Gibbons then told Mandel to "back off."

Could have just slayed with, "I'd rather stand for America than be on my knees for the Chinese Communist Party.", and maybe then gotten up slowly and asked everyone in the crowd to "also stand for America" (man, I'm good); but instead resorting straight to the tuff-guy-wanna-fight routine ain't gonna impress Trump, who really doesn't want to endorse Gibbons but that's where the shit feels like it's flowing downhill to, and Mandel's people know it.
There’s something wrong with Mandel. He’s wound too tight. I’ve seen him at a couple of events. He wants to be in politics soooooo bad. Unreliable. Dropped out last time at the last minute, costing a seat, cause of his “sick” wife, dumped her and went off with his assistant.

Did Mandel serve honorably with his actions over his affair that cost us the 51st Senate seat ?
Bingo. I supported him last go around until we found out was the reason he dropped out. Very dishonorable. Cost us a key seat that was the difference between the minority and majority.

Rush used to talk about black politicians saying "I walked with Martin" to end any all opposition to anything they said, did or proposed - and it usually did - as if those were magical words that gave them some sort of God-given superiority.

As a former Marine myself, I agree 100%. The point about not having worked in the private sector was accurate.
While in the Navy, I met sailors who were staunch Democrats. I never could figure it out. Why be in an occupation where the political party you support wants to cripple?
Why don’t you do some research on Mike Gibbons before you so cavalierly dismiss him. He has a YouTube channel with commercials and interviews. Perhaps you should give them a watch.
That way you can get the measure of the man before you declare that he will promptly kiss McConnell on all 4 cheeks and continue to sell us out to China.

Is that what is going on? Trump is having a hard time deciding? I keep waiting to hear who he will endorse, thought it would happen by now.
I was a big Mandel fan but have been leaning Gibbons. I hope Trump chooses whoever is the best non-rhino and has the best chance of winning the seat.
I also met many - the worst was an XO on a Cruiser. He’d been the Vice President’s aide and we used to have some intense arguments. He thoroughly detested the 2nd Amendment. He’d turn beet red when reminded the oath he swore included that Amendment too.
